I need to give Apple Arcade another look. In a subscription world, it's a lot for $5 a month. Also factoring in that I have two of the Nimbus controllers sitting in my closet.
Need to warn you that there are some games that don't work with the Nimbus controller. Seems to be something in Unity (the game engine), but I don't remember exactly, was a couple of years ago that I looked into it.

But just don't assume every game on Apple Arcade will work with the Nimbus controller (I have it myself). The PS4 controllers I have are a more safe bet. :)

Also coming to Apple Arcade in July is a new Hello Kitty simulation game called Hello Kitty Island Adventure (July 28), plus classics like Slay the Spire+ (July 7), LEGO DUPLO WORLD+ (July 7), and Ridiculous Fishing EX (July 14).

Slay the Spire and Stardew Valley have been in the most played Steam Deck games for a while, which is probably a good proxy for "best PC games on the go". Stardew Valley also has a coop mode that should be fun on tvOS with two gamepads, if that will be supported.

Fantastic update for all of Apple Arcade's five users.

Butters: "But I don't play World of Warcraft."
Cartman <disappointed>: "Butters, you said you're on your computer all the time."
Butters: "Yea, I'm playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure."
Cartman: "Butters, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you."
Butters <nervous>: "Ohhh ohh, alright... alright."
I had to re-read that part of the article. I didn't realize that was a real game. Now I gotta go watch that episode again!

See Apple?! This is how Apple Arcade should be! Have the games available on the service but also available as separate purchases outside of the service, just like Xbox Game Pass. Apple Arcade exclusivity only hurts the game, not help it.

Got this game on Steam for my mac. Once a year I start a fresh game with the idea of 'really getting into it' - I have only ever played 3-4 hours before quitting, does it get better? Is it one of those, persevere and be rewarded with one of your best gaming experiences ever types of games? (Started gaming in 1980)

There's no need to rush the game. Stardew Valley's supposed to be a chill experience. Just grow your farm at your own pace and enjoy your life in this small town community.

Is this better than Animal Crossing? I thought Animal Crossing was fun and relaxing for about 2-3 weeks and then never touched it again.

I don’t like Animal crossing. But I like this. It’s a nice mix of farming, questing, community, mining, combat and fishing.

Stardew never had IAPs. One of the few good games that didn’t adopt the worse gaming plague to ever exist (thanks Apple.)

But Stardew for iOS has always been neglected…

Apple popularized micro-transactions and software subscriptions (the worst things to ever happen to software.)

_Developers_ popularized it. Apple has always preferred selling whole pieces of software. Just look at Apple Arcade: no IAP.

I love that more games are coming to Apple Arcade. But these type of games were made for farming peoples time and money.

Making this a free game is awesome, but I would rather have new games that wasn’t build on the premise of wheeling money.

I hate Freemium games, and this is just that, but now with time farming only…..

This game was never freemium and didn’t have IAP.

I don’t understand commenting on something without knowing about it.

That's a top notch Nintendo cartridge right there.

Can't wait till Futurama comes to Apple Arcade!

They already have some games like that. Monument Valley comes in mind.

Some, but not all. Jetpack Joyride 2 is not downloadable separately, it's only available in Apple Arcade. Platinum Games' World of Demons is the same.

It's even worse on the Mac side. The Mac ports of Hot Lava, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Exit the Gungeon, The Pathless, and Samurai Jack Battle Through Time are not available to buy separately on Mac, not even through Steam or the Mac App Store. You have to have Apple Arcade. It's pretty insane to me that Enter the Gungeon is available on Mac purchasable, but it's sequel is not, it's only available in Apple Arcade.

I haven't played any game in years. This one though looks like a very relaxing game. Would I be crazy buying an iPad Mini and this game? To chill in the evenings?

Cool. Not that I’m bored of animal crossing new horizons after 600 hours. I need to start star dew valley.
