I bought and own both CCC and SuperDuper, so I'm glad that the root cause of both not really working (Apple's fault) has been addressed..

SuperDuper can now do bootable clones of Big Sur for Intel AND M1, but only because Apple fixed asr in 11.4, still in beta..

I am sure Mike Bombich is working on this for CCC as well..
Lets not all jump that 14.1 beta 1 resolved everything. While you might be able to make a full APFS replicator copy with a erased volume, can you incremental update the OS yet to the next 11.4 beta and so afterwards. I doubt it.

Just downloaded the new best if SD. As previously posted I uninstalled the old app. Tried entering my SN and message back came back saying my SN was invalid❓

And, as posted earlier I didn't believe Dave would come through. My face is 🥵, but I spent money on CCC needlessly👎

When trying to register my beta of SD I was using the wrong registered name. I booted into my backup SSD created with CCC and retrieved my registration name and now I have successfully reregistered SD on my working drive.

I clicked on the show beta updates option on CCC. It showed the details of the latest beta and the option to download. I closed the window. When I tried again, it didn't show any beta news. I guess I am out of luck with the beta testing.

Try going to https:www.shirt pocket.com and look at the Big Sur Information box. That will take you to Dave’s blog, which has the download link for version 3.5 Beta 2. I just tried it on an external SSD and it works very quickly. I think it’s mostly asr under the hood; I saw many less steps. I booted off that external SSD successfully. The only thing I saw was my internal drive wasn’t mounted.

Long time SD user. A little bummed that my M1 wouldn't create because of Apple. I downloaded the 3.6.1 and got the notice that my original SD license wouldn't support the new SD. I pondered for a minute and figured that the hours spent circumventing Apple with new programming was worth my $27 investment. I usually make time machine backups but I have always liked having a bootable clone. The 3.6.1 worked perfectly!!!! Using a Samsung SSD T7 and a lightning cable I copied 474 GB in about 36 minutes. It booted perfectly. Kudos to Dave and Bruce.
