I'm looking forward to playing through it again for no good reason.
I completed it once in parallels.. Lets hope the native osX performance is decent.. Lots of subtle effects in HL2 which never really happen in Portal.

Here's hoping that its the "Orange" feature, or perhaps "Steam game bundles". What a great theme that would be

I'm hoping it'll work with the Cinematic Mod. I haven't tried it yet but it makes HL2 look unbelievably good.

Tomorrow, not today. It'll be Steam Play enabled, they already said that a long time ago. It'll also include Ep1/Ep2 in tomorrow's launch as well.
In the UK it is now the 26th Wednesday so for us it is today. Wonder if we get it before you? hahaha. Still have to download it anyway.

The people in control of Steam/HL2 are in the west coast of USA. Should be out by noon PST tomorrow.

I'm happy we are getting a major Valve release. Sadly I am short on case and bought ModNation Racers before i knew about this. Unless they have a sale on it, I'll hold of for a week or so. Got $15 Best Buy rewards certificate that will go towards the Orange Box.
I know the other games aren't out on Steam for Mac yet, but its the best buy (no pun intended) to get Half-Life 2. Unless they have a sale on it on Steam.

I've never played any of the HalfLife games, I'll be sure to pick this up. Unfrotunately I have Red Dead Redemption, Mario Galaxy 2 arrived today, and I have tee times for tomorrow and Thursday.

That was half life 2. The beauty of this is, bought this game on release in 2004 i think it was, 6 years later i dont have to re buy it.

Unless they release an update for it today, then you'll just be able to copy over the files from the Windows version. It still downloads some stuff - my Portal download started 95% complete but it's better than starting at 0%!

Anyone's Portal game menu/text stop working?
Maybe today's update will fix it, but when I tried to play Portal last night, the menu text wouldnt show up. A google showed me a thread on steam forums, with absolutely no answer...but a bunch with the same issue.
