Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood is 50% off, and it has Steamplay too! Bought it. It's rather spiffy, the graphics are really nice and the gameplay has a nice retro charm to it. It's a keeper.

They've got a 4 day sale on now due to Quake Con 2010. All id games for £49.99. Today's special is also The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion® Game of the Year Edition with 66% off.

I picked up that one without thinking. Although I've got a lot of the games, I'm getting fed up of storing the game boxes. I'm not too interested in Oblivion but have been thinking of giving Fallout 3 a bash. The only thing that's annoying about this game pack is that Quake 4 isn't included since it isn't on Steam.

I've been hesitating about this one... mainly about the RPG part of the game. Is it more action oriented like a FPS or do you spend a lot of time RPGing with your character?

Don't think about the game as a RPG and you'll be much better off ... here is the conclusion from my review:

So will you like it? That depends – if you are a shooter lover, you will probably find plenty to love. If you really love co-op, you will have fun but be better served by Left 4 Dead 2. If you like action-RPGs that are heavier on the action and lighter on the RPG you will also likely have fun with Borderlands. But if you are expecting anything remotely approaching the depth of a hardcore RPG, stay far away from this game – it isn’t remotely what Borderlands is about. Borderlands is meant to be an action-shooter with some lite RPG elements, and loads of weapons and skills to play around with, and that is what it delivers.
