Sweet sale ... can hardly believe that with everything I already own I was able to buy so much ... at least a dozen games. Of course, in some cases that means I have it on CD and more than one digital service ... but, hey ...

I picked up a couple of supposedly crappy racers: Crash Time 3 and Flatout 2. I'm in the mood for some goofy car shenanigans.

Flatout isn't terrible but it's no Burnout or GRID or whatever.
I've not picked anything up yet. Some of the games I've been wanting for a while (Slamtilt Pinball, Dark Void Zero) still have problems with them. I guess I'm stuck waiting for the daily deals.

Bought my first game of the sale - Zeno Clash! Been after it for a while. It's supposed to be very good and the price is pretty much perfect now :D.

I've never played a Max Payne before and I'm not sure if I should buy it!

And I got Half Life for 1,99$ (I wanted to know the story before the 2 and Ep. 1 & 2)

Those two Max Payne games are damn near perfect games. You're seriously missing out if you haven't played them.

Max Payne was brilliant. One of the first games I played that merged great story and gameplay into one gripping adventure. Not played the 2nd one yet (bought it on Steam ages back) but I hear it's better than the first.

2nd Game is simply amazing; easily one of my favorite games of all time.

Last day of the Steam sale. Looks like all the games are from earlier in the sale.

I hope COD4 comes out on Steam for Mac (Not sure if it will?)
But also I would like Plants V Zombies to be available for Mac as it is for Steam on PC and I am not paying $19.99 from Pop Cap when it is a lot cheaper on Steam

Resurrection time!

I had to sneak online whilst on holiday and I bought the Misadventures of PB Winterbottom during that sale, and its been pretty fun to play.

Alien Swarm is now on Steam and free! For those not in the know - the guys who made L4D originally made a mod for UT2004 under the same name. They were going to port it to Source but it kinda vanished for years and years. Now its back and under the Valve label (so it'll be ported to OSX in time). It's free, supports 4 players, has achievements and all that. Mine is still downloading but I hear it's very good.

Lead and Gold is 50% off
http://store.steampowered.com/app/23390/ Final Fantasy XI Ultimate is also 50%, but bear in mind it's an MMO so a monthly fee is required.
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/1451/ Penumbra Collectors pack is 50% off. They're highly acclaimed games too. It's 3 games in total but 2 of them are built into 1.

Yep ... after a couple of weeks worth of a breather we are seeing some decent sales. Loads of good strategy games (most PC only like Majesty 2, etc), and there is the 'grand strategy' Hearts of Iron III (here is my review) for Mac & PC as well for a good price!

They've got a 4 day sale on now due to Quake Con 2010. All id games for £49.99. Today's special is also The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion® Game of the Year Edition with 66% off.
