Yes please. I'd like to know what Skyrim has ripped off, because from playing it for 3 days straight I have to say, I've never seen anything like it.

You must not read a lot of fantasy books. The lore in Skyrim almost seems straight lifted out Tolkien-esque fantasy book, with the exception that Dragon's Breath is actually arcane shouting. Skyrim itself though plays like a single player oriented WoW overworld. Skyrim "feels" different from older Elder Scrolls games.

LTD, I think this list is wrong. Totally wrong. First off, is this for hand held consoles, big name home consoles, or coin-op? It just says for 'video games'.

Steve Jobs has no influence in any of the above, unless you count the iPhone as a hand held. However it's a iPhone not a Nintendo GameBoy, Nintendo 3DS. Where games are more complex, they aren't pick up play for a few minutes, then put down. Those games more fun to play in my opinion.

As for Zuckerberg, he shouldn't be on that list at all. What did +he+ do for video games?

Last year, I was visiting my mother-in-law in a convalescent home.

I was astonished to see that many of the bedridden 80 and 90 year olds were playing Farmville and other Facebook games on laptops ! Who would've thought?

After that, I began to notice Facebook game popularity elsewhere among the general population. They have tens of millions of users just for their games. (I think Cityville has almost a 100 million.)

So that's probably why: his site introduced a whole new group of people to games.

That's not really fair, they're different mediums. By that logic, anything featuring magic and swords would be a rip off. The difference from other games comes from the way the game is played. You can't really compare it to books unless it directly rips the storyline and characters off in some way, which it doesn't.

As much as some people might dislike it, the market of mobile gaming has shifted greatly since iOS 2 with App supports. Cell phones are the majority of devices that play mobile games.

Admittedly, as a "more serious" gamer, my 3DS isn't going anywhere anytime soon despite my iPod touch and Android smartphone, but those quick, cheap downloads on to mobile phones has changed the mobile gaming set up.

I like my 3DS but I have my phone with me 24/7, so it ends up playing some games as a result of being with me the most, not because it's the best device for it. I'll pick up a PS Vita to fill out my 3DS because those devices have much better controls and deeper games, but that doesn't mean I won't keep downloading iOS/Android games.
