if ur phones are bricked and u need to connect to iTunes... do this first

OK i know why some of u are getting 9.3.5 from iTunes its because iTunes 12.5 won't install iOS 10.0.1

1.) update iTunes first to 12.5.1 and then connect to iTunes and it'll pull down iOS 10.0.1

Judging by the comments here and on the Reddit thread, this update is bricking everyone's devices. I'd stay away from updating until things are sorted out..
Everyone? I doubt that! I have upgraded via OTA a couple of iPhone 5s, 1 iPhone 6, 1 iPhone 6s plus. No issues whatsoever. iOS 10 is running very smoothly.

ok all good now. Downloaded latest version of iTunes on PC, put iPhone into DFU mode and did a restore to iOS 10. Then had to wipe phone and restore from backup to get all of my stuff back.

I was doing the Public Beta of 10 and got 10.0.1 last night. I assume that that is the final version and I won't need to update again? I'm waiting for WatchOS 3 to download and install right now. Thank GOD for work WiFi!

Updated one through iTunes after having the "bricking" problem, it updated did not have to restore. Second iPhone and iPad updated easily OTA. Watch currently updating - it is taking the longest.

Just got home too... what a crappy feeling all day! Luckily I had a trusty old 5 in the drawer to take to work. That was a nightmare too, because it took me 20 minutes to figure out my password to set it up with my info and contacts.

I updated my iTunes (twice I think) before I had to leave for work at 3. I couldn't get my phone in DFU mode this afternoon, and that turned out to be a good thing, because tonight when I plugged in to the updated iTunes it downloaded the new iOS and then installed it onto my phone and I didn't lose a damn thing!

Running a complete backup now!
Feeling quite lucky.... and still a little sick at the same time that I depend so much on my phone.

My iPad updated without a hitch at the same time my phone didn't

I'm confused! My update notification is still only the iOS 10 release!?
