Best Buy in Portland Oregon has "plenty", partly because of only 20 people in line when they opened. They handed out tickets to those in line and when the store opened they stopped. For the 20 minutes I was there about 10 more people came in. I called the Pioneer Place Apple Store (downtown) and they were swamped.

San Jose, CA - Curtner (Apple Store)

Just came from there.
They sold 25 16GB already. (Mostly all in the morning) Sold out.
16 - 32 GB
4 - 64 GB.

The store had 60 of them total. I played around with it for about 30 minutes. Truly enjoyed all the comments from the walking customers. (sarcasm)

I did enjoy the iMac though. I need a desktop and I think this will be it for me now. Going to take the wife to BB to check both the iPad and 21.5 iMac out.

3G...when will you be released.

Best Buy in North Austin in Gateway Plaza only had 2 32gb's left an hour ago. The rest are gone.

The apple store in Cincinnati @ the Kenwood Mall had iPad models available as of 3PM today.

Though, I did snap a photo of Dave Chappelle walking in to pick up his order. :)

We're heading out to the Ann Arbor BB after dinner to see if they still have one.

A 3G on order but I still want to check one out. Might get convinced into buying one and maybe offering it to a customer at a discount.

Post your picture of Dave Chapelle please . . . that's (Cincinnati) my old hometown :)
I miss the Apple Store at Kenwood but it's only 40 miles away ;)

got the second to last one at 12:30pm at the bb in Fairview Heights, IL. They only had 2 - 64GB's left. Rep said they went pretty fast. Not sure how many they had in the beginning, but there were 6-7 people eyeing them so I jumped in and had him snag one :)

He was actually pretty cool, shook hands with anyone who recognized him and wasn't a jerk at all. Apparently had an order in for several iPads and a 3:00 PM genius appointment.

Got my 64g at Best Buy in Kansas City (Tiffany Springs for those in the area). Only 6 or 7 people looking at them when I got there around 11:30am.

They said they had plenty of them when I bought mine. No accessories though. Said they would not have those until Monday.

Hearing that there are still unsold iPads around is killing me. Trying to hold out for the 3G....

Go to BB and play around with it....I spent about 30 minutes with one. Got me over the excitement of getting one until my 3g comes in.

The best buy that I went to had 10 of each model. They opened at 10am and sold out by 9:40am.

It makes sense, he means that the line was 30 deep by 9:40 am, so they pretty much sold out by then.
...iThink?

I called up my local Best Buy at about 5:00 pm, and they said they had at least fifteen of each model in stock. Got to the store about six, and walked out with my new 32gb iPad :D

I certainly DO hope that Apple got enough iPads into retailers so all of the eBay opportunists find that they can't make a profit on them! Why pay a premium on eBay when you can walk into an Apple Store or Best Buy and get one?! :D

So I see alot of posts about BB. What about the Apple stores though. People report back. I have been out of town and am hoping to pick one up tomorrow afternoon, but wondering if they are selling out or what.

I walked right into the Roosevelt field apple store on long island at about 5pm. There was no line and i bought one in about 5 min.
