Apple is a trillion dollar company. I think they can afford to send as many phones via UPS as they want.
Like I said earlier, many of you are getting upset over nothing. Barring engine trouble or very bad weather, you will get your phones tomorrow. And even if you don't, it isn't the end of the world. Apple never guaranteed tomorrow delivery (no exceptions). It is just a phone. You ladies and gents have phones that can be used in the meantime if something happens. Get some proper perspective.

Some people will have to take a second day off work. It's not the end of the world, but it is pretty frustrating.
Will this throw my world into “upheaval?” No. Did I do everything right, by the book, in order to have a launch day phone? Yes. It’s the principle of the thing. To compare this to the atrocities of Florence is asinine. Go away.

Apple can afford to. But it doesn't mean they chose to buy enough UPS flights.
I am not a female. If you can't respond to someone without insulting the person, that isn't a good thing.
This forum is about sharing thoughts, opinions, problems, and solutions, along with rumors. I am merely expressing my thoughts and opinions. And I will do so any in thread I wish.
I shared this with the Apple rep that I was chatting with. She said that was the most ridiculous thing she's heard. When she looked at my tracking, she said this was the first time she had seen tracking that looked like that. She asked me if I had contacted UPS and that's when I read that web chat from Freddy. She had me wait for quite a bit while she checked with UPS. When she came back, she said that UPS told her that I was still on track for delivery for Friday, at the latest, Saturday. We'll see....
So after a nice talk with UPS. She passed me this info! She told me to completely disregard the tracking on the website. They are having technical issues with Apple and Tracking. She told me my package left Kentucky at 3:10pm today and was on a plane to Denver. It will be delivered tomorrow. All this delayed shipment stuff floating around is a glitch. So hold on to hope my fellow macrumors members!
I spoke to a UPS rep and she did say phones are on track for Friday still. [fingers x-ed]

He was the guy who had his phone in Korea this morning but then it reverted back to 210 at ZZ. He’s in a different situation than us.
Sky high cost of $1249 + tax, by laws of nature, must include guaranteed delivery by 9/21.
One of my phones is in the ZZ bunch as well and just flipped back to delivery tomorrow. It's a gift for my son and I had just told him it would be delayed until next week, I think I'll hold off on giving him any updates until the AM..
