Obviously, you aren't aware of the history how Apple drove iPhone/Touch users crazy by not implementing some of the very basic features during the pre-Android era.

Apple is your religion and Jobs is your god. Either that, or you're really naive or young, or both.
Very well said,he just needs to come up for air.

Non-factual? Really? You are wrong, wrong and more wrong.

Release date for Europe is October 11th, with pre-orders on Vodaphone for the UK as of today. No release date confirmed for the U.S. or pricing. Pretty easy to check this online. There is this search site called Google. You might want to check it out. Welcome to the internet.

I noticed the lack of a link. Care to post a link showing the iPad will go on sale Oct in Europe considering I bought three already while stopping through Heathrow last month? The UK is considered Europe right? You might want to check Google just to be sure.

Well go buy your Archos... And then beg for help getting a file to install so you can break into the Android store on the Archos forums. But hey you will have an SD slot and will have saved a few hundred bucks. (save a lot of money on apps too...)

46? Really? You do sound more like a 16-year-old.

I've noticed there's been a huge amount of iPad-like devices since it was released. I personally think they are stupid. My iPad is perfect for me. Perfect weight, perfect display size, perfect battery life, and it will be even better when iOS 4.2 comes out. What do you think about these other tablets? (such as the Galaxy tab or whatever)

So why is it "stupid" that there's a huge amount of iPad-like devices out or coming out soon? Obviously you've either never heard of a little thing called "competition" or you're just jealous that there's better tablet devices coming out soon...

I think you guys are misunderstanding eachother.

I think Covart is talking about the Galaxy Tablet and you are talking about the iPad.

And they aren't "iPad-like" products, they are just tablets. Tablets existed well before the iPad, and the only similarity between iPad and new tablets is that they all have a black screen.

err..

I guess they should've made the whole thing out of aluminum. I've heard metal screens are really nice.

Apple definitely AIN'T my religion AND Jobs is definitely NOT my God! Not now, not ever AND definitely NOT anytime soon!

TBH, I can't stand Jobs as he's an arrogant douchebag who doesn't give a rat's about anybody; whether they be customers or his own family, especially his own daughter; Lisa! I find it hilarious that for someone who's a Buddhist, he's certainly one big, fat hypocrite, and after what happened a few years back when he needed a kidney operation, he must have been storing up a huge-ass amount of bad karma over the years for all the hate he's getting (which in my opinion, he definitely deserves!)

It's nice to see somebody agrees with me about how competition is healthy at the end of the day.

If it wasn't for competition, what's the odds that the iPad v2 would just be an incremental upgrade (in other words, no RAM increase, minor speed increase and definitely NO increase in storage for the top-of-the-range version!)

It would be naive to think that competition is anything but helpful in the tech market.

However, to be fair, I think Apple may still release upgrades without competition. Obviously I can't prove it. To me, it seems like Apple is the type of company that would drive innovation because they WANT innovation rather than just a flow of cash from an outdated product.

Regardless, the point remains: these other products aren't ipad copies, they are just tablets. Nothing is similar between them EXCEPT that they are tablets.

Diff OS, different specs, different ports, sizes, etc etc etc
