Works great for them.

Apple couple spend 30-40 seconds and make it work for the rest of us.

1. SwitchResX
2. Club3D DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 UHD adapter (HDMI 1.3 (!!) cable from adapter to monitor)
