The new SwirlyMMS is out in Cydia tonight.. unfortunately for those of us in the US with AT&T I can't seem to find the appropriate settings to use. (If there are any... From what I've been reading the previous version didn't work after a while as AT&T blocked it.. Hopefully the new version somehow gets it going again).

How?

How are we supposed to set this up?
is there a guide?

I choose the over the air settings but are not working....

I've searched for AT&T settings for this app in the past with no luck. If you find any now I'll be ecstatic.

mms is alive

hey just wanted to say I have the new swirly mms app from cydia. I have a 1st gen 4g iPhone on 2.0.2 firmware unlocked and jailbroke. I've been waiting for winpwn to come out for 2.1 fw. The app works great def worth the 8 bucks way better then emailing photos. Just wanted to put it out there

Ahh good I have been periodically been checking their forum and waiting for this update. :)

Send + receive working :)

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

I thought that you didn't need a new version of winpwn to install the 2.1 firmware. There are several cases I have heard about here in the macrumors forums. Check into it, you may not have to wait.

I posted about this last night, unfortunately doesn't seem to be working for us AT&T users in the US.

There are lots of caveats and reports of instability. BigBoss is saying to wait.

I'm leaving for China tomorrow, so I may have to use one of the hacked methods here in the forum myself; as much as it displeases me to do so. :(

if i recall correctly w/ past versions of swirlymms, you can't use it w/ att.

it's because there is some kind of flag for iphone users to turn off mms (since the phone doesnt support it). other carries are fine though =)

Uh, I have AT&T and my MMS works fine. I sent and received at least 20 MMS messages today.
My settings are

MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: 066.209.011.032
Image Size: High
UserAgent: iPhone

Everything else is blank.

Have you added an MMS plan or does AT&T charge you for these in any way?

Guess you have the magic iPhone!

That is so ****ing lame. Why would ATT do that to their customers? Having to go to a website to see pictures is bad enough, but you have to type in a random user/pass that they assign to each picture, too. That makes no ****ing sense at all. If it was the same user/pass combo for each picture, that would at least be a little better.

For the people who say they have this working, please post the correct settings. The ones already posted in this thread do not work.
