I only paid $1 for Swype because it came out first. As soon as SwiftKey came out I immediately deleted Swype and replaced it with SwiftKey =)

I currently am using Swiftkey on my S5 and so I'll definitely go with Swiftkey when I get my 6+

I'm not on iOS yet and not gonna install it for awhile. Anyone give me a quick reason why SwiftKey seems to be the dominant choice over Swype?

I feel like both lag slightly on my retina iPad mini. Swiftkey also doesn't have the swipe to type on the iPad either.

To be honest, for me it's not so much better. Right now I make less mistakes using my two thumbs and the new predictive keyboard.

No swipe functionality on the iPad for SwiftKey. So Swiftkey for iPhone and Swype for iPad.

Same here! A bit laggy on the Retina mini when it's brought up but actually swiping is pretty fast and reliable. This was typed with Swype actually and this is probably my favorite feature on the new iOS. Too bad I can't use it on my iPhone yet. The buyer wants it with iOS 7 so I won't get to try it until I get my 6 Plus.

SwiftKey on the iPad is kinda pointless without swiping functionality. I deleted it and just kept Swype.

I've honestly never really cared for SwiftKey myself, but I am really hoping that google releases their keyboard.

I've always loved their keyboard, and I am sure at some point they will.

well thats that lol

Why is it so much better than a regular keyboard?

As I'm doing now you can just slow to type.way way faster :D

Look I'm even going to write an extra sentence just because it's fast and takes minimal effort

Swype or SwiftKey?

Swype for me.

For people who have used both and prefer swift key, why? Is it only the predictive text that is better or is the swiping experience somehow better too? Does swift key have gesture input for question marks and other punctuation like Swype does?

Thanks for the update, that's good to know! I'm using both on iPad right now, but on my Android phone, I tended to prefer Swype. Planning to use both on Friday on my 6 Plus, and whichever behaves better, most likely I'll stick with it.

The two reasons I left iPhone for a Galaxy S3 two years ago are gone, and I'm thrilled. Bigger screen and ability to swipe on a keyboard? Oh yeah! :)

Just a question can you customize swiftkey on ios like this on my S5?
