they did an integration with Apple this year so not sure if that's the case any longer.Just wanted to confirm. T-Mobile still doesn’t require any social security number or any details with the carrier to pre order unlocked iPhones?
I have bought iPhone 7+ & iPhone X unlocked via Apple Store App, selecting T-Mobile as my carrier and paid full price for the unlocked phone.
Is the same thing going on with T-Mobile? Also, any other carriers have started doing the same where you don’t have to give any details and simply pay the full price for unlocked iPhone without calling them to unlock or any other thing like that.
Thanks!
T-Mobile's exec hinted promos last month:I wonder if T-Mobile and other carriers will have a trade-in promo for this years launch.
My guess is that the promo won't be as generous as iPhone 7 promo. I would be happy if it's more along the line of promo offered for Galaxy phones, where T-Mobile offered $500 discount when you traded in Galaxy Note 7/Galaxy S7 or newer, and $250 for Galaxy S5 or S6.[Chief Financial Officer Braxton Carter] teased that the promotions ebbed and flowed, and that he expects to have an aggressive offer once the next iPhone comes out. "Absolutely, you can expect a great proposition for our customers relating to the new iPhone," he said.
Chief Operating Officer Mike Sievert hinted as much on the call, noting that it would be aggressive in promotional deals for smartphones that support its newly deployed 600 megahertz spectrum. The next iPhone is expected to support the band, which gives T-Mobile better capacity and coverage across wider areas, though the carrier declined to talk about Apple's future products.
T-Mobile doesn't announce phone promos prior to the phone maker's announcement. It would break the NDA.Im surprised there are no announcements from T-MO about a trade in deal.

Just no "new line required" promo please.

[doublepost=1536687379][/doublepost]My wife and I both have iPhone 7 Plus. I think we will be getting 5.8" iPhone Xs (or whatever it will be called) and 6.1" iPhone Xr (or whatever it will be called). Since we are both on 2 TB iCloud plan, I think 64 GB will be sufficient.
Both 5.8" and 6.1" iPhones will be thicker, but shorter and narrower than your iPhone 7 Plus.I might not even be getting the (s) series. I may just upgrade to the X when it drops in price. especially if they are an outrageous “deposit “ on the phone. I want move from the plus series. I’m tired of the large form factor.

I have iPhone 7 Plus as well, and I am mostly bothered by the width. Having handled iPhone X many times, I think 5.8" will be just right for me.
- iPhone 7 Plus: 158.2 mm by 77.9 mm by 7.3 mm
- 5.8" iPhone: 143.6 mm by 70.9 mm by 7.7 mm
- 6.1 iPhone: 150.9 mm by 75.7 mm by 8.3 mm
- 6.5" iPhone: 157.5 mm by 77.4 mm by 7.7 mm
Also, T-Mobile hinted new iPhones will have B71 600 MHz LTE band, which is being deployed in many areas. My area isn't getting it until 2020, but some of the surrounding areas that I travel to are.
The latest available map that I am aware of is this.Hmm where can you see what area will be getting it? I will definitely be going with 5.8 size.

And this table gives a rough idea as to when other areas maybe getting 600 MHz band. I say rough because some areas transition before the start date, and some will happen after the end date.
Thank you! Looks like Phoenix is starting this month up until 2020. I’m too worried about that though, does it just give better service to the area? Or make things faster? Sorry haven’t heard much about it.
600 MHz obviously isn’t significantly different from 700 MHz in terms of range nor indoor reach. But two factors make it better than 700 MHz.
First, in most areas, 600 MHz will be wider than 700 MHz, for both greater capacity and performance. More than twice and often far more.
Second, 600 MHz will be deployed in far greater areas T-Mobile has nation wide license (unlike 700 MHz, which is much more limited).
Just out of curiosity, if you don't need the highest storage, why are you getting it? The resale value is terrible on higher storage. Your money may be better spent toward iCloud storage. If everything is true I’m going for the highest GB iPhone(even though I don’t need it), the largest phone size and the gold color.
I recall last year the process was smooth I didn’t hear any stories of website crashes maybe this year the website will improve?

Was the app smooth last year for preordering?

I am pretty sure there are some places in Phoenix Metro that are already lit up with 600Mhz. When I briefly had a Galaxy S9+, there were parts of downtown Glendale where I get horrible service on an iPhone but it worked great on the S9... and the S9 does have 600Mhz support.Thank you! Ouch... thats a lot down. glad I am not thinking about the Xs Max. I wonder what the Xs will be.I just called T-Mobile 611 just to chat them up about pre ordering the new iPhone X-max , the woman didn’t hold back.. she acknowledged that they will be called the xs, X-max & Xr, if you do the 24 month financing , the taxes up from will be roughly 279.00. They will also add you too a list to be notified at midnight when the phone goes live for preorder , with a text message or call. If everything goes smooth , I won’t be mad at T-Mobile at all
