I just called T-Mobile 611 just to chat them up about pre ordering the new iPhone X-max , the woman didn’t hold back.. she acknowledged that they will be called the xs, X-max & Xr, if you do the 24 month financing , the taxes up from will be roughly 279.00. They will also add you too a list to be notified at midnight when the phone goes live for preorder , with a text message or call. If everything goes smooth , I won’t be mad at T-Mobile at all
that sounds like taxes plus dome down payment. the downpayment is an IQ test especially if you upgrade once a year. just go with apples 1up program.

Exactly!! If you upgrade yearly it’s a much better deal to go with Apple IPhone upgrade program. TMO requires big down payment to keep your monthly payments low. However if you do the math in 1 year you would have paid way more than if you did the IUP.

I prefer to do it through tmobile as it doesn't hit my credit when I want to do it, or require me to use a credit card. I prefer debit for everything.

I’m just relaying the message. I’ll probably buy one out right & re coupe whatever I can get for my iPhone X that I have now. It’s worked pretty well in the pass. Apple phones hold there value pretty well.

Not so sure about that in that Apple being cheaper

Apple lets you upgrade when 12/24 equal payments have been made - i.e. half the cost of the phone + tax.
Tmobile requires a large upfront deposit so you are well past half the cost. If you don't upgrade once a year it's no problem. but if you are upgrading yearly you are paying way more than what Apple would charge.

Do the math. It only applies to folks that’s keeping the phone for 1 year. All I am saying you would have paid more for the phone in 12 months due to the larger down payment. If you’re keeping the phone for 2 years then you would have paid the same amount overall as with either program.

$1000 phone, down payment is $280, not the taxes. We finance $720, so however much more than $720 the phone is, THAT’s your down payment (plus taxes).

The original X pricing (remaining stock, as it’s being discontinued) is TBA...

Wonder what JOD pricing will be? I know last year it was $0 down for 3 year customers, really hoping it's the same now that I'm 3 years in.
I hope so too, that's what I ended up getting last year but with the price tag on the MAX this year I don't know if they will.

Trying to decide between 256 and 512 for the Gold Xs Max. At that point the price difference is nominal but I just don’t know if 512 is really necessary.

John( T-Mobile's CEO) just tweeted saying they will have $0 down for approved customers for the new iPhones. Don't know exactly which ones he's referring to yet but we will soon.

I wasn’t going to upgrade this year, but now I’m on the fence for the XS Max. I still love my X so it’s a 50/50 decision for me. Last year’s preorder for the X was painless, quick and I received my X on launch day. I’m for sure getting the Series 4 Apple Watch and hope T-Mobile do trade ins with previous series watches.

Aaaaaah yes. Another year of pre-order madness and plane tracking.
I’m so excited - last phone I tracked was my iPhone 6!!! Woohoo!!! Happy 50th Birthday to me

Same here.

I filled my 512 iPad, but I put digital scrapbook kits and stock art for designing on it. Otherwise even for me it is a lot.

my guess is that'll be for new customers but I'm happy to be surprised.

Well last year it was $279 down for the X, so I imagine it’s going to be that or more for their Xs max. I’d love to be wrong but that’s the way it’s looking from one rep I talked to.
