And the 7 wasn't particularly exciting if I recall. Basically a 6ss with the headphone jack removed.
? I remember people going crazy about the 7. Checking the that tracker website. Everyone wanted Jet Black. Turned out to be the worst color. I ended up switching from T-Mo to Verizon a few months later, and then got Matte Black instead.
Then, when T-Mobile introduced the "#GetOutOfTheRed" promotion, we switched back and T-Mobile paid off our phones and we got to keep them.

So someone could walk in to T-Mobile when they open and get a max without pre ordering? Like they have a certain number of phones available every day? I’ve never paid any attention to the iPhone release, but it’s interwsting to me.
Depends on what stores are sent. Last year (X launch) all of our inventory was allocated for preorders, so none of our stores (corporate) or TPRs received any on launch day - versus the 8/8+ launch a month earlier, where we got a ton.

By all accounts, that was a very successful strategy; I’m not sure if the demand is quite there this year for the Xs series, but we haven’t gotten any correspondence stating they’re doing the same this year.

I for one love my Jet Black.

I was determined to get my JB so I waited. It was grueling to say the least since my wife got her 7+ silver within a week.
I regret getting the JB a little now due to the cosmetic damage.

The 7 was in demand because of all the carrier deals. These past couple of iPhone releases have not been kind to us consumers.

How long until someone can walk into a store and leave with a phone? Just curious is all.
Probably launch day for the Apple Store. Did this with the 7 for my father and we were in and out after an hour. And people thought it would be sold out everywhere, especially on here.

The 7 plus was my first iPhone pre-order, as my first iPhone, the 6s Plus was a X-Mas gift the year before hand. So I decided to upgrade to the 7 Plus JB 128Gb. I didn't know if it was worth getting up at midnight to order it. So I decided to try it anyway, and successfully got mine at launch. But after seeing people posting about ordering 3 hours later and getting October shipping dates, made me realize that if I want it at launch. I'd have to wake up and order it when pre-orders go live. lol

No point in trying in the morning just to Be told shipping dates are far out.

So now every launch I make sure, I'm up and ready to pre-order.

Just spoke to a Tmobile Representative. The BOGO is real and activated the 15th. The problem is that if I want it, I would have to cancel my preorder and do a new order with a 2nd line to take advantage of the promotion. Those of us that ordered on the 14th cannot use the promotion. The promotion activated on the 15th.

Nope not mine still the same. I know those who ordered via apple are getting their tracking numbers and stuff.

Was able to sign up for the BOGO offer, bought second XS and opened new line, getting bill credit for $700 over 24 months. Looks like store still has delivery for 9/21 for most XS and Max models.

Has anyone on here ordered watches, too? I've got two, one is 9/21-9/26, other is 9/21-10/9. Ordered right after 2am CST. Wonder what odds of 9/21 delivery are. The Xs Max is 9/21-9/21 delivery.
