I do as well. Last time I preordered (the 7 plus jet black) i had ground, but shipping was delayed on the jet black. I remember hearing that all preorders that were not delayed, regardless of ground or overnight, came on release date. Im hoping that rings true this year.
Was able to redirect my phone through My Choice. Wanted mine to go to the UPS locker so I don't have to be home when it comes. Also got a e-mail from T-Mobile that my order has been processed. Still nothing on my watch guessing that will be shipped next week.
Currently chatting with another rep and she says if your order was placed through the app, you get free 2 day shipping. If done otherwise, the order will be done with ground shipping, which is 7 days after 9/21. She says since I didn't make the order through the app, my order shows ground shipping. Funny thing is, I ordered through the T-mobile app on my X hahaha.
I'm hoping since it hasn't hit the system yet it will not. I have done it with other items before they were picked up by UPS and it didn't.Did selecting a locker change your delivery date?
I tried going thru the app, but it kept locking up when it asked for a trade in device. I will sell my plus on my own, so I didnt want to trade it. Had to call customer service to do my preorder. In years past, ground got there on delivery day, so hopefully that continues. If not, oh well. I have a crazy busy day scheduled Friday, so I wont have time to mess with it until after work anyway.

This rep is funny. She is now saying, "Sorry, on further inspection, customers were given the option to choose their shipping method. You did not choose 2 day shipping so you get ground".
There wasn't an option to choose shipping for me...
On my X last year, I got an origin scan at almost midnight Friday. Still got it Friday.That will get updated the moment you get the "origin scan" -- if your shipping is next day air, it could be scanned as late as Thursday night and you would still be able to get on time Friday.

I think more in the dark than many of us...Let me save y'all some time given that this is my 5th year of pre-ordering through T-Mobile. I'm going to let you in on the biggest secret that T-Mobile doesn't want you knowing about:
Reps usually don't know anything, they're just as in the dark as you (most of the time anyway)
Im in Phoenix too. Cant wait for the under-100 temps.
I am always somewhat suspicious of the reps. Sometimes they say things that are not 100% accurate, especially when it comes to shipping times. I'm sure there is a bit of CYA at play with them. If they said you'd get it Friday, and it came on Saturday, or Monday, people would be pissed. Underpromise and overdeliver.

I got charged and have my tracking number! I have a question though for the pre-order veterans, my shipping on UPS says 2nd Day Air but mentions nothing about a signature requirement. Does that mean one isn't required and can bet left in my mailbox or does 2nd Day Air automatically require a signature? Thanks!
She's saying I chose the ground option while opting out of the 2 day shipping, even though 2 day shipping is the default and ground costs $6.99. She says her reply is 100% accurate based on her supervisors words. She's saying that I made the mistake of making the choice and that default is always set to ground. I'm currently looking at a new order (for checking purposes) and it shows default being 2 day free shipping with the second option being ground at $6.99...
