I guess it all about logistics, but still, I find it amazing that I can have the IMEI already with the phone not even in the US yet.
i’m still a little irked that i’m on ups ground, despite reps saying everyone gets upgraded to next day air
Mines says 2nd day air. I'm hoping this means it's shipping Wednesday or Thursday because I already took Friday off work. lol
I took a half day (getting home around 11:30am), but mine says Ground... A rep did say that I was guaranteed shipment on Friday. But don't know if I can trust that person since the conversation started off the rep saying I will get it 3-5 days after it ships out on 9/21...
I have an assigned imei also. But honestly, going from the iPhone x to the XS is not really a huge upgrade. I'm more exited about the Apple watch. Did anyone get charged for the watch yet?
I don’t think anyone has. It will just show that until UPS actually receives the phone.

That will get updated the moment you get the "origin scan" -- if your shipping is next day air, it could be scanned as late as Thursday night and you would still be able to get on time Friday.
Submitted my first order for a 64GB SG Max at 11:45 PM on the 13th but was stuck with ground shipping. Cancelled and reordered at 9:15AM on the 14th and was charged on Sunday. MyUPS shows tracking info. Ordered a Gold SS Apple Watch 44mm on 9/15, still not charged.
if you get an origin scan today or tomorrow, phone will not make it to us until Friday anyway...

How many people here have "UPS Ground" as their shipping method in UPS My Choice?
I got the imei even though my bill is processing. Just select the previous billing period and look at the eip plans. It will show up that way.
I just got charged for the last of my iPhone's that I ordered (XS 64gb SG) placed around noon on the 14th. I'm excited for sure. Switching from android to Apple so we'll see how it goes.

I do as well. Last time I preordered (the 7 plus jet black) i had ground, but shipping was delayed on the jet black. I remember hearing that all preorders that were not delayed, regardless of ground or overnight, came on release date. Im hoping that rings true this year.
