The shipping is going to be free overnight. I'm JoD, the rep didn't ask me for the shipping and the charge is 0$ in my account (the ground shipping is $6.99) as it is always free overnight for pre-orders. Even though my UPS says ground shipping, it will be delivered on 9/21 for sure.

How are you so sure? Not trying to go against your word, but honestly want to know. I am debating whether or not to cancel my order and order a new one with overnight shipping (waived by rep). I'd still have to pay the $20 upgrade fee though... She said she could waive one or the other.

DO NOT CANCEL YOUR ORDER! If you do you’re probably looking at a later delivery date. Every year lots of people get their phone on launch day. At this point if you re-order with overnight shipping you'll be put at the back of the line as far as orders go.

I’d stick with your current order.

That's crazy, that's what they told me too, but who in their right mind would pay for slower shipping if they could get faster shipping for free?!?!
I ordered on the website and there was nothing that specified free overnight shipping. I had to click the drag down box and choose my shipping method. I paid for the overnight shipping just to be safe. I could see how people would click that drop down box and not want to pay 25 bucks.

I currently use Note 9, ordered one for my friend (Pre-order) I remember exactly 2 days before the release date. They charged him $6.99 ground shipping (which they gave credit later), even though it was ground shipping, the Note 9 delivered on the release date.
It's up to you to place another order, but most of these reps are not honest with us, it means we don't know that for each phone order they take or add a line, if they get a commission for sale. If that was the case, they wouldn't mine to cancel the previous order, and place another one under their name.

The phone still shows a ship date of 9/21 if I make a new order though.

I called in to preorder at 1200 on the 14th, the rep went over the shipping with me, ground was free, 2nd day air was like 18.99 and overnight was 29.99. I chose ground, since the last few times, when ive preordered, i picked ground, and got my device on launch day. Even if not, its not worth the extra cost to me for overnight.

I didn't realize there was watch chat happening here. My watch order processed at 1244 with a ship date of 9/21-10/9. Have never ordered anything from T-mo. What's the typical MO for them? My phone is coming from apple, but chose to do EIP with T-mo
Have you been charged yet, I've got the same ship dates & about same order time.

Looks like the first flight is arriving in Louisville in the next 30 min. Should see some action later this evening on UPS shipping, if anyones phones are on that flight. There are a ton of planes, one right after another.

Are these for all carriers or just tmobile? I'm assuming... It'd be hard to distinguish which phones are on which planes (right..?) haha

Yeah, impossible to know what phone for what carrier is on what plane. When ordered straight from apple, you can tell, because the departure scan from china correlates to a flights departure time. However, through a carrier, who knows what plane its on. Tmobile's shipping labels are created from the Jeffersonville, IN UPS hub. Once they land, and are processed there, you will see the updates on UPS my choice.

Are you by any chance located on the West Coast?

Seriously people.......

When you place an order and T-Mobile rep ask your shipping address, what is your preferred shipping method, which is overnight, 2 day air, or 5-7 days or something like that.... it was was your choice. If you get it early on UPS ground congrats, but if you didn’t you picked your shipping AND paid for it.

I told them I wanted overnight FREE so I got it on launch day. The T-Mobile rep did what I asked.

I wasn't given an option, and the rep told me it would arrive 9/21. Other reps then started to tell me other dates

Honestly I wasn't told anything shipping wise. I think the rep knew it's was gonna be a LONG Night and just did me a solid, even tho I think on JoD, Your supposed to get Overnight shipping free anyway. Plus being kind goes a long way in my books. So that could've helped as well.

With that said.....

Once you've received your UPS tracking number, use this page. https://flightaware.com/live/iphone to figure out what flight is carrying your iPhone or Apple watch. The “departure scan” in your UPS tracking should match the departure time for a flight
