Taking Gaming Benchmark Requests for 13" TB

All tests are done in boot camp at 1400x900 with the 13" TB MBP with Iris Pro 550 8GB/512GB base CPU. I will put FPS and most playable setting.

  • Ark Survival - Low - 32FPS
  • Smite - Maxed - 160FPS
  • The Division - Med - 35FPS
  • Battle Front - Med - 32 FPS
  • WOW Moonguard RP Goldshire Inn - Max - 50FPS
  • Overwatch - Coming Soon...
  • STARCRAFT 2 - MAX Settings - 50FPS
  • Heroes of the Storm - Max Settings - 45FPS

Thank you so much for doing this. I've been searching everywhere for a thread like this.

How well would Starcraft 2 work on Windows. My purchase of the 13" Mbp TB rest entirely on this question. Again, thank you for spending your time to answer our questions. >3
 
I purchased a nTB 13" just this past week and will be trying out a few games as well! So far I have found the iris 540 to be quite capable of a IGPU. Its still not as good as a lower end dgpu but that should come as no surprise. What is surprising is that it doesn't seem to be much of a hindrance to the system overall as the previous IGUs have been.
 
Overwatch in 1080p high and medium presets, please. I am curious, how powerful this little thing is, in comparison to dGPUs.

Fair Enough 🙂. Then Maybe Heroes of the Storm? I have seen now the post. 45 FPS. in 1440x900? Max settings?

GT650M in the same resolution is struggling to get past 35 FPS on Medium... O_O.
 
Just tried out overwatch on the 540.... At 1400x900 and the lowest possible settings (75% render scale) it was only able to achieve 32FPS. Was expecting more.

It will probably run about 35-45 on the same settings on the iris 550. The 15 watt processors seems to Peter out earlier as well due to headroom.
