My 14" MBP M2 is refurbished. Came with, I think, 3 cycles on the battery. 8 cycles now. no problem buying refurbished. I don't think Apple would have wanted it returned a second time.
At least with Refurbished you know someone actually opened the box and looked at it.12 returns? maybe try refurbished since they have higher quality control than new devices
This is why it’s important to be vocal. Cost cutting will continue if buyers seem content. Feedback may not be read, but his emails definitely are. I’ve never not gotten a prompt reply.Tim Cook has been focused on costs in recent years, so product quality hasn't been the same. Obviously, people on MacRumors will try to defend every decision Apple makes.
17 years buying Apple products of almost every category and only ever exchanged one for a defect—an iPhone 4 which seemed like the back glass was a bit loose. I don’t want to invalidate someone’s experience but post is very odd to me.I have never received a flawed apple product or met anyone who received a flawed Apple Product, except on Macrumors.
Any pictures or videos for evidence?
Wow. Someone has money to burn.Like I said, not worth the time and energy.
Email Tim Cook, he isn’t checking the forums. I have always got a call from some one up in customer relations after I emailed Tim. I would stick to the facts and send him the evidence. This is why it’s important to be vocal. Cost cutting will continue if buyers seem content. Yeah 3-4 makes sense, one guy getting 12 must be some kind of lottery event.Your situation is not normal. Even after 4 exchanges you are venturing into the realm of statistical impossibilities.
12? Yeah... an exaggeration for sure.
Not necessarily - it takes a lot of time to keep exchanging and setting up MacBooks. At the end of the day, these are tools.Wow. Someone has money to burn.

One would hope. I’ve had similar quality issues with the M1 14” and 16” but didn’t play the exchange lottery.Yeah 3-4 makes sense, one guy getting 12 must be some kind of lottery event.
Already did - already had a conversation with executive relations. All is good on my end.Email Tim Cook, he isn’t checking the forums. I have always got a call from some one up in customer relations after I emailed Tim. I would stick to the facts and send him the evidence.
With that kinda luck, you wasting time here. You will likely get some generic opinions. Like I said, email Tim Cook, he would definitely want some one to see why so many of them went to one customer. Did you buy from Apple? One would hope. I’ve had similar quality issues with the M1 14” and 16” but didn’t play the exchange lottery.
In a word, nope. Onto my 3rd Mac in probably 12 years, never had a problem with any of them. In all cases, considerably more likely to get bored of them and fancy an upgrade than anything else.Anyone else notice quality control is horrible for the 14” Pro since M1 days?
I bought and exchanged a few M2 Pros, and I’ve probably been through a dozen so far and never got one without issues.
Some creak loudly when handled, hinge makes loud clicking noises when moved, scratches on the screen fresh out of the box on several. Last one I exchanged what making a loud whirring/whistling noise from the right fan.
Last one I just opened has deep scratches on the screen. No other issues so will likely just live with it. Am I the only one noticing this?
Then you've been lucky, or haven't bought that many Apple products.I have never received a flawed apple product or met anyone who received a flawed Apple Product, except on Macrumors.

Maybe their quality is slipping then. That's not cool!About QC on Apple refurb products: bought a refurbished iPhone 13 for my wife directly at the Apple website. That thing turned itself off while she was at 75% battery in the store at the checkout and wanted to use Apple pay. Later I was able to turn it on and checked it and under System Prefs the Battery showed as NON GENUINE APPLE PART. Can you imagine that? Huge disappointment and somehow unreal.
If you're having these issues and live close to two Apple stores, wouldn't you open the box in store to verify immediately that you are getting a flawless device?Anyone else notice quality control is horrible for the 14” Pro since M1 days?

Works as long isn't a BTO.If you're having these issues and live close to two Apple stores, wouldn't you open the box in store to verify immediately that you are getting a flawless device?
You didnt check for light bleed then lol, 2 airs I had, 1 a 13" m2 bought used sold again had light bleed, and a 15" m2 returned to apple was the same.I think it's strange all the M2 Airs I bought were flawless but Pro has had so many issues.
