It would appear the Glazers had no intention of selling the club due to changing their valuation of the club from an initial £6 billion to £10 billion. If the club's share price increased in valued at any time during the ongoing sale process then it needs to be looked into by the financial authority for stock manipulation.
All throughout the bidding process the media had been persistently reporting on who came close to bidding the £6 million the Glazers wanted even though the club was independently valued at £5 billion. We kept hearing the bidder from Qatar kept increasing their bid and then allegedly matching the price the Glazers wanted which was £6 billion. Now there are news reports coming out that the club has been taken off the market because no one has met the Glazers asking price of £10 billion!!! Where in the hell did that value come from and why was it no mentioned at any time during the bidding process that the Glazers had upped their price from £6 billion to £10 billion. No one on the planet is going to buy United for £10 billion, not when independent financial advisors valued the club at £5 billion.
There is something rotten going on with the Glazers and it needs to be investigated.
As for Greenwood, even going to Getafe is not good going to be good enough for many fans because the club gave the impression that he was going to 'leave' the club. The wording matters a lot because when it comes to employment, when an employee (what ever level) say's they are going to leave or an employer says an employee of theirs is leaving it has always been traditionally taken that the person(s) involved will be 'de-employed' by the employer, meaning their contract of employment has been terminated. This is not the case with Greenwood because even though the club gave everyone the impression that Greenwood was 'leaving' in the traditional sense of the word, in fact they have used the literal meaning of the word in that he has 'left' the club but is still retained as an employee of the club meaning his contract of employment has NOT been terminated. This is what fans were expecting that Greenwood would have his contract of employment terminated by the club. Greenwood is therefore still a contracted player at the club until his contract expires in 2025.
