The sad part about his death is that the UK media will not praise him for his job as a manager but instead will go after his ex lover Ulrika Johnson to get her response now that he has passed away so they can find some dirt on him to publish because that is how the media behave.

Depends what media you read. First time I’d even remembered about her was when you mentioned it. No one did in the story I read about it.

The reason I said what I said about the UK media is because when Eriksson's cancer was announced, the UK media went looking for Ulrika Johnson to get her views on the man and the affair they had together. If you search on her name you will see google list is inundated with articles from Ulrika talking about Eriksson and that he was not a nice man. So, because the UK media went after Ulrika when his cancer was reported it stands to very good reason that they will chase her down now that he has passed away.

As for the lady herself, anyone who remembers the original Gladiators game show will know about the woman. She was the young blonde Swedish bombshell brought in to present the game show. Young, attractive, fit looking, every boys wet dream.

What on earth is this???!!!, is this Arsenal's new goalkeeper shirt??? It's looks awful.

It's a training top. The kit-makers tend to take risks with their training kits, and it didn't pan out in this case. I'm not a fan of Man Utd's current training top, either, but they've had some very good ones in the recent past.

Ta ra Scott McTominay, officially off to Napoli.

Just went to Arsenal store to look at the kit and it's marketed as their 'pre-match' kit. Sorry Arsenal fans but it looks hideous.

Don't reporters realize just how bad they are when coming up with words to describe someone? Have just read this news article about Nolberto Solano https://metro.co.uk/2024/08/28/form...d-non-league-manager-just-six-games-21503757/ who has been sacked by non league Blyth after 6 games.

In the news article the reporter refers to Solano as a 'Newcastle Legend' but here is the thing, he was only at Newcastle for two seasons. When did being at a club for only two seasons make them become a legend? For the rest of you, how many years does a player need to be at a club before you class them as a 'legend'. For me it has to be 10 years or over.

I appreciate everyone's view will be different but for me, the word 'legend' is a very strong, important and powerful word and therefore is not to be used unwisely.

Dunno if Chiesa to Liverpool is masterful or just done to keep appearances of being active in the market.

is it also an indication that Slot doesn’t fancy Darwin.

Interestingly enough it’s a signing that might’ve helped Utd. At the very least he’s an upgrade on Antony.

In a coffee shop.
He was a great coach but had a complicated personal life. Thank you for your kindness when I as a kid and met you Svennis - Mr. Football ⚽

I must say that I love when the verb "complicated" is used in this particular context.

Actually, it is an expression that I have also heard used in France, or when speaking with French friends, when such topics arose in conversation.

Chiesa is a good player, but availability is a real problem for him. Certainly worth a punt for any club who needs attacking help.

United has plenty of alternatives to Antony on the right: Garnacho and Amad have been getting their chances in that position. Sancho would be another option, but he may finally be out the door to Chelsea shortly.

Despite the flurry of reports. The EPL spending is notably down this window. Clubs look to be fearful FSR

West Ham, Utd, and Villa have had good windows.
Liverpool and Newcastle have arguably had the worst

Everyone else has been average at best

Disappointed with our result but not the performance. The scoreline flattered City somewhat.

Elsewhere Arsenal dropped points. Rice earned a stupid second yellow and earned his first sending off of his career.

Utd played ok and just about edge it but plenty of work to do. Fulham could've easily got something from the game
As long as Casemiro is in that midfield Utd will be easy to play through. Mainoo can't do it alone.
And i'm still not sure what Mason Mount does in a Utd shirt

Ouch! The Manchester United v Liverpool game was no fun for Utd fans. Casemiro had a stinker, Rashford is so out of sorts, and rather than ‘bringing the fire’ it was a damp squib of a performance all round by the home team. I do think that there’s way too much football now and the players need a proper rest. It can’t go on like this. And already (three games in) all the ‘experts’ are calling for ten Hag's sacking. Utd are always hopeless at the beginning of the season. They have a tradition of making a mountain for themselves and then trying to climb it.

It doesn’t help that they are a team undergoing major changes within the parameters of what is possible. The injuries don’t help (see my earlier point re too much football) and, as ten Hag responded to the critics after the Liverpool match, he’s not Harry Potter – no magic wand to be wielded there. The players do have to take some responsibility and when they look back at the gameplay they will surely be thoroughly embarrassed.

Oh, and from the way Utd have started, what’s the betting there’ll be another trophy in the cabinet at the end of the season!

ETH should be on a very short leash this season. Despite some injuries and lack of quality depth in some areas, he's got enough of "his" players in now — they really should have a more coherent style of playing by this point.

Guess we'll see how much replacing Casemiro with Ugarte will help. Rashford needs to be benched and they really need Højlund back (why does the first team squad only have one legitimate #9?). If ETH doesn't have a good run of results the 3–4 games after the International break, he's gotta bounce.
