I love the bodyguardz skin for the back. IMO it has better coverage/look than either IS or best skins ever (less openings and texture). It took me about an hour to get it on perfect but it's worth the effort. I've tried all three (takes some practice) and my next choice would be best skins ever. I don't care for IS, too many small sections and it has a tacky feel to it and it is the most expensive at $18.95, Best skins ever is $7, and Bodyguardz is $16.95 for 2. Also, you can't beat power support crystal film for the screen. Reg is close to original screen but you get fingerprints and anti glare is duller but less fingerprints. Both are awesome just depends on pref. Hope this helps someone!:)

Agreed that BSE and BGz are better than IS and probably a matter of preference there. Same with your PS CFS comments. I bought the BGz for my MacBook and it was awful and had to send it back without putting it all on, holes not lined up, very tough install, whereas the BSE install on my MacBook was very easy and has held up beautifully. So between that and 3 iPhones now, I'm sold on BSE. Added bonus is I live in Denver and I found out when I got the first one that they are local to me, so it's nice to be supporting a local company.

I'm using an iSkin Solo FX right now although I miss the naked phone. No matter how many cases I get I end up going back to my Waterfield SmartCase; a little bulky but really protects the phone. I tried a Beyza sleeve, which was great for about a month but stretches and the phone falls out easily, which is a shame.

the duct tape brick. At least with that, I know there's adequate protection.
Never really understand the point of having the phone in a purse. You can't see it.

And each time you take it out, there's the chance of it falling onto something bad for its health.

a what ? :D hahaha how is a sleeve a purse? You're just reaching there. Like I said it's not for everyone and you haven't actually held one so you can't judge the quality. Why cover up the iPhone like that with a case all the time? I'm actually getting an Otterbox soon for recreational things like dirtbike riding, goin to the lake, skating etc. So I use a case when it's actually needed.Yeah it protects it more adequetly but you never get to see the actual phone or enjoy it's design (even with a clear one it's not the same) And with skins they still get rid of the sleekness. This one protects it in my pocket where I need it and yeah it's dropped and nothing happened. I get compliments from everyone about this case and the design is as awesome as my iPhone an I'm happy with both. Most cases trap lint and dust inbetween the phone in my pocket and I hated it.

So far I prefer the Black Incipio Feather. I don't want to turn my Iphone into something I didn't purchase in the first place. But... the stock 3G/S is a bit too slippery for me.

Tried the Griffin Reveal and didn't care for the rough feel of the edges above the bezel and seems like it makes the volume difficult to adjust. The Incase slider is nice but its a bit bulky for my tastes and the Seidio Innocase II tab broke off.

Still prefer the feel of the naked Iphone if it wasn't so slippery.

Happy for you and your man purse. Yes, I'm sure it's fabulous.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that.) :D

Cases scratching phones

Sorry, but ... does that say Calf Skin? I don't think - in a million years - that I would want a dead baby cow's skin surrounding my cell phone. That is just... talk about inhumane... wow. :( Why not hire a slave to carry it around for you while you're at it?

wow, get a life, it's leather and leather is made out of cow hide. What is the difference between eating a hamburger and making leather (except for the eating)???? The animal gets killed either way so surely it's better to make the most out of it.

On topic: I'm really unsure of which case to get because I have seen tonnes of amazon reviews that say that the cases scratch the phone, which I really don't want. Are there any cheap hard cases that look nice and don't do this?

I love the Innocase II Surface Combo. Its got a nice grip and it is really thin fits on most docks. The belt clip also covers the touch screen. They also have a pretty cool dock connector
i had the original innocase. i LOVE the feel of the case in my hand. i didn't go w/ the innocase ii because of the ugly cutout hole in the back. it's just another spot for crap to get in the case. i also hate how they went w/ the solid color. the two tone was much better having the black bottom. still a good case though :)

I can tell you for sure that the SwitchEasy Capsule Neo will not scratch your phone. There is a protective layer that goes over everything, including the buttons, and then the hard shell goes on top of that. Any case that has nothing protecting it between the hard case and the back of the phone has potential to scratch it. Maybe get a full IS Shield to go over your phone and then put on a case. If you do that though, be careful to make sure you get a case that will fit on over a skin. A lot of hard cases won't fit, you might have to go for silicon or rubber.

I owned 2 sliders for my 3G lasy year that the did a number on the backs of 2 phones...since I got my 3Gs I've had a Griffin reveal, Speck Candyshell and Incipio Feather....I have to say the feather is probably my favorite..I really likes the Speck, but you have to be careful taking it out because the bottom piece breaks easy...if they had different colors I would get another

anybody have experience with the more twine case (http://www.more-thing.com/twine-series.html)? its sort of expensive but it looks sweet and seems like really solid protection.

I'm also interested to know about this company. I really like their Leather Series cases. I like the Twine too, but a little too much going on for my taste. Anybody have any experience with these? Not sure how I feel about it being a slide type case with the whole top revealed like that.

Slider

Broke down and bought a white Incase Slider due to all the hype.
Please tell me it gets easier to take the thing off after a while. Even the bottom is hard to remove to dock it.

Mine got a little easier to take off after about a week or so. Especially the bottom piece because you can kind of pry it off with your finger. The top is still kinda hard, I'm scared I'll squeeze the glass too hard and break it trying to get a grip on it. Either way, I believe it has gotten easier or I have just gotten better at taking it off.

According to another thread, there should be more colors on the Speck site in about 2 weeks. :D

iPhone cases I have used so far.

I started out with InCase Slider case. Had no issues. Very smooth grip. Covers iPhone's frontal chrome though.

Currently I am using Case-Mate's BarelyThere in chrome. Nice case and you won't feel its presence. Does not cover the frontal chrome.
Downside: As slippery as iphone and case is susceptible to fingerprints and scratches. Need to cover Apple logo in the back with a shield since case leaves this exposed. Lastly, I my Sena Slim Case would not fit this combo.

I also have Speck's ToughSkin which I slide over iPhone+BarelyThere combo when extra protection is needed, without inserting the plastic frame.

Since I could not use the Sena case, I am using a Blackberry Bold case for the time being until someone recommends a better option.

Lastly, I have Power-Support's Anti Glare Shield on the screen.

Nice ad--well, nice spam anyways.

Give it a rest.

Otterbox And Twine

Ive got a Yellow and Black Otterbox....its well funky!..a little bulky at times but thats the price you pay for protection!..I did drop it in a pint of beer once(not on purpose) and after drying the case out...it was fine!!!!..however it does say its not waterproof!

I also have a more-thing Twine which is synthetic leather and looks like carbon fiber.. I also have droppped this with no problems...this is slightly less bulky...I really like this case...I run this with a anti-glare screen protector.

Im considering buying a case-mate Vroom coz it looks really cool!....I also quite like the feel of silicone..

Got some good deals off ebay for the more-thing.

I am a reseller for this company (I'm the only one in the USA) and I find them pleasant to deal with and the cases are excellent quality.
