slider = nice case but i prefer better shock absorbing and some inside coating to keep the phone clean from scratches.

protective case = standard silicon case, if thats what you want its fine, maybe think about the switcheasy colors.

slider bamboo = same as the regular slider.

power slider = great if you really need a secondary battery and dont mind about the bulkyness.

the bamboo slider actually smells like bamboo...i couldn't believe it until i saw them in person of friday

not true, only fail engineering makes marks.
it can be beautiful and protective but if its scratching your phone, for me its a fail.

anyway, if you choose good designed case you can keep your device "as new" forever.

look for cases with soft\flexible inner, or at least good silicon rails.

choose a good design? they all look the same.
We dont know how good it will be until its too late.....or until we have used it.....there needs to be a new thread....."list the cases that do NOT scratch iphone"

lol, i agree.

but as i said cases with soft or flexible coating\layer inside them, usually wont leave marks.

you can find lots of "regular" cases (not flip cases, etc...) with soft inner,
speck candyshell, capsulerebel, capsuleneo (i hate it but it will never scratch your phone) and a lot more.

oh and i think the ifrogz luxe and the seidio innocase too, but i dont have it so i dont know, its just looks ok in the pictures.

I just received my Moshi Concerti case in red, and I love it. It fits my iPhone 1st generation like a glove. I like the full face protection; I took off my screen protector since I don't need it anymore. Great case! I love how the silicone is very soft and flexible. Not stiff like an incase. Snugs on real tight.

It does slow down my phone answering time a bit, but I love that i can just throw it into my purse. No worries.

Just got back from the apple store in SoHo.. picked up the Griffin Reveal. It's great. Snaps right in place and looks great with my white 3GS.

flip cases seem a good idea.
As when you lug the phone around in car, in bag, etc.... the whole phone is covered and protected.......and when you wanna use it, you open the flip cover, and the touch screen is there completely naked for youre fingers to touch....

this sounds good.

the best i have found that offers the most protection, is the otterbox. I got the white one, and its very nice. The switcheasy is ok for looks, but offers no protection. most people will drop their iphones at least once or twice sometime down the road.

iSkin Solo FX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it took a few cases to find that i love this case the best. i have the Switcheasy Rebel, Colors, InCase Slider, iFrogz Luxe.

got the otter box...really like it. the only thing i would change is the screen protector seems to attract dust, but otherwise protects the machine very well, and the belt clip is great...

I have the grey/green candyshell speck, but i couldn't handle it anymore, the green is more like flourcescent yellow.. made it look like those old sony walkmans from the 80's or something. Just put an iSkin solo on it... much better, so far.

Mophie

I needed a Mophie Juice Pack Air and also picked up this clear hard case as well. Love it so far, but really hard to get if off for docking, cleaning, etc.

i really like that case, how much is it, what is it, and where did you get it?

So, I just got the Iskin Fuze, and while it offers great overall protection, touching the screen has become slightly difficult. Because of this, I think I want to return it (which is going to suck because I'm gonna have to pay to send it back).

Any ideas on what to get that will offer maximum protection without giving up usability?

Slider clear case

That slider clear case was my first case, it put the only scratch on my phone back in about 3 days.
Luckily I had just taken it off to clean out the dirt in it, and saw it, I never put it back on.....

I just saw that that case was slightly different than mine, mine had no rails,sorry.....I probably had the first gen of that case....

Belkin made the one in the pic there. I found it at an FYE Store at the mall.
