I was using the iFroz Luxe case, my favorite so far. It left absolutly no rubbing, or scratches to the phone.

Then i went to this. naked.

What is the name and brand of the red case?

how is that done?

You basically completely disassemble the iphone. And put it back together from the ground up. It took me a couple hours to complete the first time. Theres a ton of screws and parts. You just have to be careful and patient.

After doing the first one and working out the bugs, if i were to do another it would take me no time. I'll have to say though, it was a pita.

iSkin Revo2

Just short of 1 year I ruined my iPhone 3G when I answered a call when it was barely raining. Apple Store said that Apple WILL NOT cover water damage. I had a case on it but was no protection from light rain. Bought the iSkin for my new phone because it has a plug for the headphone as well as the dock connector. Great case for protecting the phone which has a real shortcoming in this area.

Just thought Id share my case story, happened last night. I was in a hurry to get home, so as I was buckling my 4 year old in her car seat.......

whoa!

The more I read about these cases the more I like them. Except the colour combos..black and yellow is ok, white and red looks the best IMO but buy a black iPhone to put into a white case...lol

The other two colours are...hmm bit bleugh!

In real life, the charcoal and lime green is pretty eye catching, and the white with red is very subtle. We probably sell the most of the white/red in the store.

do they have a good selection at the apple store? where are other places i can purchase quality cases?

Hehehe....my only complaint about the Candyshell (I have the black with yellow trim) is that the yellow rubberized portion around the edges near the phone bezel discolored blue after being in my jeans pocket only a few hours. Makes the case, even though it's barely a week old, look like it's been there for months.

Aside from that, it has taken a beating yet my phone is still pristine, and for that it has been worth every penny.

I'm getting the 3GS in white and I want a case just like the iSkin solo, but in a more translucent white (but not clear). I love the look of the apple logo showing through but I am unsure about the heavy white border covering the bezel when you are using the phone. The material the solos are made of looks great and I have read good reviews.

I don't want silicone or hard plastic

OtterBox

I have an Otter Box. Everyone I've talked to said it's the best case available for iPhone or iTouch. It has a hard shell, and hard rubber that covers the shell. It also has a third casing that covers the front and clips on to whatever you want. I haven't had any problem with mine lately, except the protective screen touches the iPhone/iTouch's screen and makes the same look as if you would not press down hard enough on clear tape.

Have you guys seen the new Oakley cases? Those things are nasty looking!! I am an Oakley fan boy and for the life of me I can't find anything good about them.

I like my iPhone naked so I use the Sena Ultra Slim. It's worked great so far and slips in and out of my pocket with ease.

I'll look into it. I use skins from Bestskinsever.com. They protect the phone and you can't tell that it is on. After a while you do have to replace them though as they become nasty, but I am talking from 7 months to a year, I have no problem with them.

I just received my Griffin I-Clear that I bought off ebay for $14.50

It comes w/ a screen shield, armband, and belt clip
The case has minimal bulk and maximum protection from looking at it (good lay on the table design and it shows the beauty of the iphone)
I still haven't received my iphone 3GS, obviously, so I have no input onto how it actually works with the phone, but reviews seem to all agree that it's a good case.

I LOVE the Incipio feather...it adds virtually no bulk to the phone and is very minimalist in appearance. It also gives you more grip because of the matte finish of the case, not to mention it fits flawlessly in my Just Mobile X Stand :D

Most ppl don't even know that I have a case on my phone (I have the black feather on my black iphone).

The biggest thing is that the case has a lifetime guarantee...I'm very careful with my phone, but one day I noticed a crack in the case near the headphone jack and immediately notified Incipio (customer service). After I emailed them a pic of the case and where it cracked, they sent me a replacement via USPS first class mail (got here within 48 hrs from Irvine, CA). Excellent customer service!

I gotta admit that case looks sick. I think I'll go for it. What about the Incipio feather vs dermashot. I want it slim, but I also want it durable. Any suggestions?

I read a lot of reviews and watched quite of few Youtube videos and I must say the IFROGZ LUXE case is BADASS!!!!! I went off their reviews I love the quality and especially the price that EBAY has for it. I like it so much that I'm going to get two other colors on my next paycheck. I got the blue/black one first. Check it out if you haven't.

do all cases leave scratches on iphone?

Update to my story......

Hehehe....my only complaint about the Candyshell (I have the black with yellow trim) is that the yellow rubberized portion around the edges near the phone bezel discolored blue after being in my jeans pocket only a few hours. Well, I had another off the hood of the car at thirty event.(I am no longer placing my phone and keys on top of my car EVER again when attempting to load my car with stuff) I NEVER put my car or keys on top when I am trying to load up stuff into my car, but alas I did it once more ending in the same result, long story short, my phone flew off my cars' roof again while I was doing thirty, but as I said, I had the same result, MY PHONE IS STILL PERFECT!!!! I LOVE THE CANDYSHELL SPECK CASE!!!!! my case now has two sets of battle wounds from said events, but my phone still hasnt a scratch, and is still performing perfectly!!!!!!
Just a suggestion about the rubber around the face discoloring, I work in the medical field so I have access to presoaked alcohol pads, I think you can get them in the drug store around where the first aid stuff, or diabetic supplies are located, if you can't, just get some isopropyl alcohol in a bottle,( I dont think 70 or 90 percent makes a difference, although I always like the stronger stuff) and dampen a paper towel with it, not saturated you dont want to soak your phone with it, and rub the rubber edge with it it should take the color out. I also use the pads to de-face skin and finger smudge my power support crystal screen protector with. Then I take something dry and wipe off any left over streaks from the alcohol, the screen is then clear and smudge free, the alcohol helps to break down oils from your skin. Also, alcohol is good to remove ink from your fingers , stuff like that. ANywhoozal, I am with you on the colors, I bought my wife the cranberry and white, it makes the phone look absolutely sharp!
But they REALLY need to add some colors to the line of the case, why their arent like 20 color combos for this phone right now I have no idea. This case to this point, besides the power support face shields, is the best protective investment I have made for my iphone. I would remind who ever gets this phone case, to take it off frequently (every few days or so depending on how dirty your pockets get) to clean out the grit out of the inside of the case so as not to allow the grit to put superficial to deep scratches on the back of your phone. Some people my not have this issue if your pockets dont get dirty like mine. But I constantly am getting dirt in my pockets because of the hands on work I do, so this is an issue for me. If you take it off a couple of times and their isnt an inside dirt issue, then leaving it on for longer periods should be fine for your situation. Just be mindful of the things you do, and keep your pocket clean.....
