Jeeze, almost 35k for a Ford Fusion! I suppose I've been saying it all along... Cars have become really expensive. Sure, it's loaded but still, that's a lot for what was once basically considered an entry level family sedan.
Most of us in the future

I hear you.

Clearly we should all be driving Daewoos. They are future-proof. Guaranteed to last a century!

What about a Buick Century? Do they last a century. Afterall, the last generation of Century was based off the Chevy Impala- another motoring marvel in the annals of history.

You are correct my friend.

I'm currently looking to buy this one... as a garage mate for my Daewoo! What do you think?

It's a 2001 LS with the mighty Series II 3800 V6!

Wow, so the guy with a mild exhaust, stock exhaust manifolds, CAI and a tune picked up like 36rwhp and instead of the power dropping off at ~6800, it just goes and goes up into the mid 7Ks. He's looking into LTs with HFCs, and he's running on a "heartbreaker" dyno, so think something in the 460-470rwhp (~550-ish) with CAI/IM/LT/Exhaust/Tune without touching the heads or cams.

Nice.

An auto just put down 443, figure 5% less loss on a manual, 460-465, plus the tuner said no re-tune after they added the LTs, and the VCT wasn't even touched (that would make huge gains in the mid-range). It really does look like 470+ with bolt-ons, the heads untouched, stock cams. I'm reading that the S550 Coyote (V3) is basically a BOSS (Road Runner), so happy with 7500-7800RPMs (with maybe just upgraded oil pump and timing gears for +extra+ safety margin).

OK, so anyway ...

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!

i saw that today, crazy.
scroll down close to the bottom of the first page and look at the other cars the owner owns, holy. ****.
Yeah, I saw your reply on TCL :)

He does have quite the garage! The engineering behind the CGT is unbelievable

I love the NSX (obviously), but the design cues need to start appearing on their other models. Acura's identity should be based on the NSX, not what currently exists now.
Well, the NSX, as their halo, should've had the new concept's styling. Once the next round of cars start trickling in, the NSX will look like an "old" Acura

Poor planning on Acura's part

Not feeling the side mirrors, and the front end already looks dated. Should've done something different for the nose on this, just looks like a TL or any other Acura which is already boring to look at. Rest of the car looks good though, but I don't see why I'd buy this compared to the competition if I were in the market.

That's valid. The NSX looks like an R8 that went cosplaying at Anime-Con

There's no reason to buy this over any of the established players in that price bracket.

911 (Turbo/S, GT3, GT3RS), AMG GT-S, R8 V10, McLaren 570S, Huracan (RWD model is under $200k), even a GTR

My pick is probably the 570S or R8 V10 Plus

They (Acura), managed to capture the oversized greenhouse style on this, it's the first time I've noticed it. I'm with @puma1552 in that the front just looks too Acura-ish, I mean, I realize that sounds a little silly, but we're talking about a ~$160K "supercar", it just feels like it's missing the soul of the original car, and not introducing anything in terms of design or performance to make a new mark.

Unhappy side note:

Well, FFS.

I managed to hit a pothole that was deep enough to damage my wheel, cut my tire. I can live with the cosmetic issue, or even just use a little rubber glue to fix the flap. It's pretty minimal, it's not anyway near the cords, that section of the tire is super thick (per most high performance, lower profile tires) - I'm not going to put myself in a dangerous situation, but it really doesn't look like there'd be any problem.

The wheel damage is a little more than just surface, but I'm figuring just some touch up paint applied liberally, and it'll pretty much disappear (bonus for black, painted wheels). For an initial "fix" on the wheel, I "Sharpied" it, the ding almost disappeared since it's mostly just the color contrast that makes it stand out.

I make such a point to be careful with my stuff, this is a little side street behind the college theater, I should've been extra careful, I know those roads aren't the best.

I agree with this. When the R35 GTR came out, it forced the Europeans to go back to the drawing board. The NSX 2.0 does nothing to move the bar and they have the audacity to ask Audi/Porsche/McLaren money for it? Good luck with that pricing strategy.

It's working out just great for Cadillac!

They don't have the pedigree or prestige to be demanding nearly $200k for a supercar that will look horribly dated in a few years.

Ouch :(

It's always the first chip/nick/scratch/scuff that hurts the most. Upside is that, you probably won't care as much about the next one :)

You really have no clue, do you? You brag about the R35 GTR, when it was the NSX that sent Ferrari, the greatest automotive company in history back to the drawing board.

Let's not kid ourselves, the NSX is more technologically advanced than anything Audi has on the market. Honda didn't even bother paying attention to the garbage R8. The latest R8 is an unmitigated disaster in terms of design. If that's their Halo car, expect nothing of consequence from them for the foreseeable future. No innovation anywhere. The NSX benchmarked the Ferrari 458, to give you an idea how little Honda cares about Audi. To get a sport hybrid Porsche is to pay at least twice as much as the cost of an NSX. The NSX is meant to sell a lot more than any McLaren on the market.

And if reviews are to be believed, there is a lot Acura can do from a software side to correct the new NSX shortcomings.
