The base Fusion starts at $22,995, the Sport begins at $34,350, and the Platinum starts at $37,495 according to Autoblog.com
Yeah, an Ecoboost Mustang in Premium trim is just under $30k (msrp), even with the Performance Pack it's only $2k more, I'd hope the Fusion Sport would be way more in line with that.
I feel the same way about the GT. A lot of superior high-performance cars in its price category.
Stick to being cheap, Ford.
We don't even know the final specs, don't have any performance data, I don't know if the "superior" is some kind of brand equity, but in terms of performance, I'd wait and see
Also, talk to someone who buys cars in that price range, and I think you'll find those folks love the GT (it's all it's forms, the original, the 1st Gen and this new one), as much as anything out of Germany or Italy, since there's not in an either/or position
FYI to the thread: the new Ford GT will be making it's debut at the 24 of Daytona this year (this month in fact), and it's the 50th anniversary of the GT running, where back in 1966 it +destroyed+ the other cars in it's class.
