Holy smokes, great photos, they look like brochure images
Looks terrific, the Miata was and is the modern reference vehicle in the "real" two seater roadster category (RIP S2000, *tear*)
That MX5...
It looks so damn exotic
New one looks fantastic. I really like the way Mazda's design department is running these days. The RF model looks even cooler but the premium it carries over the standard model is not.
And it's in one of my favorite colors Mazda offers. The CX-9 looks fantastic in this metallic gray.Yeah, I get that, plus I got the 2016 because it was $4000 off, last one they had, I bought it right off the showroom floor.

I can see it being black. I figured Mazda did what some of the other companies do, and make a flake paint that changes color depending on the time of day.So this one is actually black (according to the book) but it looks grey thanks to the sparkles in the paint and the sunlight I think. I do like the grey, my Mazda 3 was dark grey, but I do like the black as well. I never had paint that had the flake in it before but I do like it.
Yours is a Bel Air, but I'm more interested in the car in front of you.
Edit: Actually, is it a split rear window or split front window?
There's another possibility - both windows are split.
But you are right about the first one. '57 Bel Air with a nicely massaged 383 Chevy stroker and Tremec 600.

Beautiful! The front car, just a quick guess given the double splits and the few details I can make out, looks like a 40s Ford Deluxe.
Close enough! It's actually a '40 Tudor Standard.

You won't find another like this one though - it's powered by a DeSoto Fire Flite Eight with a Lasalle side shift trans (so, yeah, it does have a Hemi) which you old school rodders know was a monster of an engine back in its day.

tl;dr
My dad actually built this car as a street drag contender back in the '50s, but sold it to help fund college tuition. Sometime in the late 90s, he came to see me in a car show and was checking out a '40 Tudor, "just like the one I had when I was a kid." It turns out that it actually was his car; the current owner bought it from the guy my dad sold it to and brought the body up to car show status, but left the unique drivetrain alone. So he ended up making this guy an offer he couldn't refuse, and so after about 50 years my dad has the first hot rod he ever built sitting in his garage again.
I want a bel air nomad, but living in UK it be like driving a tank to work lol.
Currently have a 2001 hyundai coupe Gen2, which is quick sexy for a budget car.
But my passion is my 1966 Austin 1100, my 1969 Riley Elf and my 1972 Austin 1300 Vanden Plas Princess.
The princess is one of only 3 made in it's particular trim/colour combination.
Black with lime flower green interior.
That reminds me of how many stories of his cars my grandpa told me. I can name, in order, every car he's had because of all the stories.Fantastic cars, and that's a pretty incredible story! Wow, I'd love to have one of my dad's old cars, but they're very long gone
I think that Elf would fit in the back of the Nomad. Geez, I think it would fit in the back of the Bel Air 2-door!
