i don’t get this product announcement? the translation says less than half the price pf the XDR, but make no mention of any spec that would be better than the PA32QCV or the kyucon g32p which the article cites, and they would be slightly around half the price of the japannext screen. even the brightness seem to be 450 nits according to one of the backside shots. Am i missing something?

Acer ProCreator PE320QXT Looks good. Just seen the. 6k, glossy and in built webcam etc
Are you sure? Last time I checked that monitor is matte.
It's a touch screen. There's a video review on bilibili.

Is there news outside of China yet? Here's the entry from last week. Global pricing is still unknown, but likely less than the Alogic, especially in Europe. I think we know now why Alogic scrambled to get theirs announced and pre-orders started a few weeks ago -- they knew this was coming.

Acer ProCreator PE320QXT - 2025*
Panel: IPS - 31.5" - 6016x3384 - 218 ppi - 60Hz - 400 nits (DisplayHDR 600) - 2000:1 contrast - GtG 4ms
Glass: 10-point Multitouch (Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0)
Color: 8-bit depth + FRC - 99% DCI-P3 - 99% Adobe RGB - deltaE<1 accuracy (verified)
I/O: 2x HDMI (2.1), DisplayPort (1.4), Type-C (DP Alt Mode, 90 W); USB 3.2 Hub (1x USB-B upstream, 2x USB-A downstream)
## KVM switch, PbP/PiP, 8MP webcam/mic array, 2x 5W speakers, 3.5mm audio out; included fold stand, stylus pen, remote control

Oh you are right, sorry for the confusion.

It’s the Acer ProCreator PE0 the one I was thinking about.

That's more than 3x the price of their 5K. To be fair, though, it says "under [以下] 350,000 円" so maybe it will be quite a bit less. The list price of their 5K is around US $750.

The white plastic case design is very similar to the dark plastic Fshuo 凡硕 X320 Chinese 6K, they probably all use the same 6016x3384 panel (from AUO?):

Currently on a holiday sale for less than $600 (until September 26) -- there is also an aluminum-alloy version, greyed out at the moment. Note that Alibaba owns both Taobao and Tmall (天猫), but they are slightly different.

Geekon has responded with a low-cost version of their Design 32 (which uses an LG Display panel, so not the same as the Fshuo) for their DarkVision 黑界 (dark plastic) line:

This appears to be that. If you read the May press release carefully in retrospect, it does say "touch-enabled" for the 5K and the 6K.

I saw a page that had descriptions of 2 monitors at the same time that really lend to confusion. I think they were describing an OLED 240hz monitor + the 6K on the same page.

That "PE0" page is still up. It led to a lot of confusion at first, until someone pointed to the press release, which is more informative. But even with that, it never occurred to me that the 5K and 6K would be Microsoft Surface Studio competitors!

why the heck did the make the back of the stand blue. It makes no sense, it probably cost them extra and doesn't even match the industrial design of an apple product.
I got my 6k Asus ProArt monitor in today and am happy that I didn't wait on the LG. I know the Asus 'chin' is pretty ugly, but I don't see any reason to spend the extra $400 on the LG other than the looks from the front.

Thunderbolt 5 (instead of the Asus 4) is nice too, but I don't need or want my monitor to be a thunderbolt hub.

Yes, and Taobao (which is owned by Alibaba) is the only option (if you don't want to overpay) -- I almost ordered it the day before yesterday, but decided to reach out to them first, to clarify a few things before starting a thread about Geekon. Shipping appears to be free (手续费 is a "handling fee"). No indication of tariffs (I'm in the US), but they could come later in the shipping process...
Were you able to get a response from Geekon?

New cheaper Kuycon 6k -

- IPS instead of IPS Black
- 600nit v 500
- Slightly lower resolution: 6106x3384 v 6144 x 3456

I chatted with their support:
Panel in X is AUO (and matte) - (must be this: https://tftcentral.co.uk/news/excit...-being-developed-in-2024-au-optronics-edition)

Panel in P is LG

Amazing that you found that!

Strange that it would appear in the business section for Canada. Has it appeared elsewhere? I can’t find it anywhere on the US site, nor does a search pick it up anywhere else!

I suspect that "32U990A-S" model number indicates the three-year business warranty (as opposed to the one-year consumer warranty), similar to the old "B" model for the UltraFine 5K.

Thanks for asking them and confirming about the AUO panel -- we've speculated that, but since there have been no tear-downs of any of these new 6016x3384 displays, we've just been guessing.
