Hi all,
Happy with our Macs, can't live without them. Disgusted with our iOS devices and considering returning my 10 day old 9.7" Pro, selling our 6S Pluses and booting up my company issue Galaxy Note 5 until I either see Tim Cook booted by the shareholders or hopefully iPhone 8 and iOS 11 addresses the multitude of current issues...
Anyone else feeling a little slighted by Apple lately with the buggy updates, poor quality control, lack of innovation, overpriced outdated tech, and same old launch cycles every year...4/4S 5/5S 6/6S, better camera, faster processor, more complex iOS and so on..... Its getting OLD Apple!!
Yeah having worked with Windows PC's for 11 years, sucky MP3 players and other gadets not Apple... I was so glad to be able to purchase a MacBook and iPad. Sure there are bugs, but you're fooling yourself if you think Windows and Android are bug free, you need to actually do some real research there. As for Samsung, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Dell, etc etc... all have deveices with similar specs to Apple laptops and are priced similar and sometimes even more. The only complaint I think is kind of valid is the price for the new iPads and the mini 4 being the same price as the Air 2. Other than that, I find Apple is still my go to company for devices I want to last me several years. Samsung is no slouch (they make amazing stuff) but I find the continuity feature, iCloud, simplicity of iOS and OSX awesome. I also like the fact Apple puts out updates every couple of months and allows you to update your device whenever you want, while android still has issues there. But as someone above said, vote with your wallet.
As for innovation... the iPad Pro is one of the top drawing tablets with the Apple Pencil being touted as one of the greatest stylus' made.
The MacBook being a full fledged laptop without fans and still can run photoshop, edit video and even do light gaming is innovation.
The iMac 5k (5k display and powerful specs for $2100 is amazing, for photgraphy and video, that is the absolute best computer IMO.)
Now I DO think Apple needs to step up their iPhone game a bit, along with a few QC issues, (home button and iOS bugs are a little more common than last year) They also should make the Apple Watch more compelling, and their MacBook Pros NEED a proper refresh/redesign. Other than that though, I feel Apple is doing good, a few hardware and software issues here and there are far from making Apple "disturbing." Nobody is forcing you to buy Apple products. If you don't like them, don't buy them, go buy something that will suit your needs and make you happy.
Kal.
