Vote with your dollars. If people don't like what Apple is doing they'll buy from someone else. I, for one, am generally happy with my iOS devices, but prefer a Windows PC over a Mac.

So I wouldn't say that I feel slighted by Apple any more than any other company. If they make something I want I'll buy it. If they don't it's no sweat off my back, they have competitors offering other options.

Logic would dictate that a person should avoid purchasing products which make him or her unhappy, and instead focus that time and energy on purchasing that which brings about happiness and contentment. Every person should buy and use the device(s) that meet their needs.

I, for one, am happy with my Apple products.

Couldn't agree more and we are thrilled with our Macs but the issues that have plagued our iOS devices and the apparent direction Apple seems to be headed with their inherent lack of clear direction has us seriously considering precisely what you have noted ....."focus that time and energy on purchasing that which brings about happiness and contentment. Every person should buy and use the device(s) that meet their needs."

I just bought the iPhone 6s this week, couldn't be happier. I have the iPad Pro 9.7 Wi-Fi+LTE from Verizon, you're going to like it. Be sure to check out the Smart Keyboard at some point, very useful with the IPP.

Not in the least.

If you have followed some of my recent posts, you will know that I am a very happy user of their new iPad Pro 9.7" and the Apple Pencil. I can't say I have experienced any bugs with their software updates either, so perhaps I have simply been very fortunate thus far.

Apple products continue to work great for me and I will continue to support them with my wallet till the day it no longer does.

Yeah having worked with Windows PC's for 11 years, sucky MP3 players and other gadets not Apple... I was so glad to be able to purchase a MacBook and iPad. Sure there are bugs, but you're fooling yourself if you think Windows and Android are bug free, you need to actually do some real research there. As for Samsung, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Dell, etc etc... all have deveices with similar specs to Apple laptops and are priced similar and sometimes even more. The only complaint I think is kind of valid is the price for the new iPads and the mini 4 being the same price as the Air 2. Other than that, I find Apple is still my go to company for devices I want to last me several years. Samsung is no slouch (they make amazing stuff) but I find the continuity feature, iCloud, simplicity of iOS and OSX awesome. I also like the fact Apple puts out updates every couple of months and allows you to update your device whenever you want, while android still has issues there. But as someone above said, vote with your wallet.
As for innovation... the iPad Pro is one of the top drawing tablets with the Apple Pencil being touted as one of the greatest stylus' made.
The MacBook being a full fledged laptop without fans and still can run photoshop, edit video and even do light gaming is innovation.
The iMac 5k (5k display and powerful specs for $2100 is amazing, for photgraphy and video, that is the absolute best computer IMO.)
Now I DO think Apple needs to step up their iPhone game a bit, along with a few QC issues, (home button and iOS bugs are a little more common than last year) They also should make the Apple Watch more compelling, and their MacBook Pros NEED a proper refresh/redesign. Other than that though, I feel Apple is doing good, a few hardware and software issues here and there are far from making Apple "disturbing." Nobody is forcing you to buy Apple products. If you don't like them, don't buy them, go buy something that will suit your needs and make you happy. :)

What's wrong with the iPad? I understand if you dislike the iPhone because there are better (in terms of specs and camera) phones out there. The rest (OS) is preference. But the iPad? Can you say what exactly makes you feel disgusted by the iPad? There's not a single Android tablet around that is better. Android simply isn't optimized well for tablets.

Even the most die-hard Apple haters who have nothing remotely good to say about Apple products appreciate the iPad. I find your post to be rather odd (as in lacking specifics). It seems more like a general bash against Apple. Nothing uncommon but, yeah...

As an IT professional user of a surface pro 4 for the past 4 months or so for work (previously, a SP3, and evaluated the SP2), i'm very happy with paying a lot of money for my Apple products for my own use.

The alternatives suck more.

Does depend on your criteria though. I have a gaming PC, but that's strictly for games.

Happy with our Macs, can't live without them.

Disgusted with our iOS devices....
I've been enjoying my Macs each and every year since 1991.

Perfect? No.
Excellent? Yes Indeed!

An interesting, rewarding journey from System 7 through OS X El Capitan.

As a result I expected Apple to provide a great experience with iOS.

While iPhones and iPads have had some good moments, overall compared to Apple's abilities and high standards of the past, iOS devices are a sad example of Apple's current standards.

Nope love all of our (5 in the family) IOS devices. I also have Note4 and I have much more frustration what that and Android than I ever have with Apple devices.

You didn't say what bothers you about your iOS devices or Apple's direction, but if you indeed are "disgusted" with them then there is some good wisdom in this thread. Why not try alternatives? Android obviously works satisfactorily for many people. There are too many good options to spend your time or money on something you don't like.

Hi there,
I'm not at ease disclosing who I work for to the WWW but having said that our company bought a couple hundred Note 5's, Its got a phenomenal display, camera and a wonderful loud clear earpiece speaker that makes hearing in noisy environments very enjoyable. Otherwise I did find that the OS is very confusing compared to iOS so I forward my work calls to my iPhone 6S Plus. But lately my iPhone has been freezing up, iMessage failing, EXTREMELY poor word correction when typing, and a host of issues that Apple seems to NOT be interested in fixing.

Hi, Technically nothing wrong at all with the iPad....yet. But after another disastrous iOS update (9.3.2) which was just pulled today I'm beginning to wonder if Apple has the ability to support their products. Seems Apple has labeled the consumers as guinea pigs to do all their beta testing for them. Cannot for the life of me figure out how 9.3.2 left Cupertino "ready for prime time" when in fact it was anything but ready. And ...the iPad Pro is NOT a replacement for the laptop, sorry to burst your bubble Tim Cook.

I like it but I am seriously questioning Apples abilities lately. They are making BIG mistakes across all fronts of their business. Regarding the Smart Keyboard, the keys on the 9.7 Smart Keyboard are far too small for me and depress too easily with very little tactile feedback. I'm just using the on-screen keyboard for now, it's not bad.

So are the daily doom-and-gloom-Apple-is-finished threads.

As has already been stated, if the product no longer fits your needs then find another product. Vote with your wallet and jettison your irrational emotional attachment.

i personally hope iOS gets functions that are needed today with modern technology. now it feels like a badly outdated software. A better camera, a newer processor or a thinner chassis doesnt provide functions iOS is missing...

Pretty sure majority of companies that issue phones are Android at this point. Being one of those hundreds of thousands/millions of people to get a Samsung Note 5 isn't much of a stretch if you keep in mind that Samsung is the most common Android manufacturer.

I have a work provided S6 that I pull the sim and put into my 6S. I neither work for Apple or Samsung...unfortunately. They would get me a Note 5 if I asked for one, just not an iPhone...

I've started using Apple stuff less than 12 months ago and while it's generally very good but it makes me very sad just thinking how amazing it would be if only Apple cared a bit more.

MBP is great but I wish Apple took gaming more seriously - give us proper upgradable desktops where I can slap newest gpu, put some effort into Vulkan/OpenGL implementation. Basically gaming is only thing that forces me to keep windows machine in home.

Ipad mini is nice media consumption machine but I have 45 GB free out of 64GB sku because Apple makes it a pain to get any kind of files into it.

Now things I wanted but ultimately ignored due to Apple stubborness- Ipad Pro 12,9"- seriously this would be dream machine for me if it used OS X instead of Ios.

Iphone - ridiculously overpriced for 5.5" versions and starting sku with 16GB is some kind of sad joke for something that cannot be expanded with SD card. And even if storage was expendable then getting any kind of files onto it would still be pain in the rear part of body.

Stop looking at the past with Rose tinted spectacles. Nothing has changed, it's business as usual for Apple. you are suffering from grumpy old man syndrome. Next you will be complaining about kids on yer lawn :)

  • Buggy updates: Agreed. And it's less excusable for Apple since unlike Windows or Android, they have less variance of their product. Apple themselves were the one claiming tighter integration between software and hardware, yet all the show stopping bugs. Not good for the brand.
  • Innovation: I disagree. I see Apple being more innovative than other OEMs. Look at the A9 chip. It allows the iPhone to have better performance than others, yet having battery that is much less than others while giving similar battery life. That's a big deal, and not an easy job. Other OEMs simply take off-the-shelve components and put them inside a phone. Samsung is hardly innovative. I can argue that Sony is actually more innovative than Samsung.
  • Overpriced: most people think Apple is overpriced. But look at what Samsung is charging their flagship. Now that's overpriced, since Samsung doesn't even provide near the level of support as Apple.

I think Apple stuff is great. Love my iPad and iOS 9 actually fixed a wifi issue I had from iOS 7-8. Have had no issues with my 2010 mbp. As for phones I have always bought android. I just like the longer battery life and thinner bezels. Only issue I have with android is all the bloat software that comes on them.
