Anyone knows when the new season begins?

Christmas episode on Christmas Day in UK, likely holiday season/early 2011 in the US.
Series 6 starts likely April in the UK, with US probably 2 weeks behind. Runs for 7 episodes.
Series 7 (or 6 Part II) likely in September/October. 6 Episodes.

Ok, thanks for the info. :D

I just bought an external HD to use w/time machine
I named it TARDIS and looked for a TARDIS icon to match.
I know I'm lame. I don't mind

Christmas episode title revealed !

is called : A Christmas Carol

seriously ?
couldn't they come up with something a bit more original?

Never judge a book by it's title. Some of the most blandley named books are brilliant.

I hope it's better than his previous effort "Fear Her"
That was possibly the oddest episode of the new series'. It didn't seem quite to work, I hope he's got some fresh ideas that are possibly a little better.

Christmas special
any thoughts?
anybody...

I loved it. Great plot. A lot better than the "oh no, a spaceship over London on Christmas day" stuff we got before.

I wonder what happened to the princess and the train that was mentioned on the last episode of the last series. I thought that would be the Christmas special.

I thought it was okay – as roadbloc mentioned, it was a bit of a change from the sort of Christmas special we've had in recent years and that's no bad thing in my opinion.

That trailer did look interesting, though...

On a Who-related note it's been announced that previous Doctor David Tennant is to marry Georgia Moffett, the actress who not only played The Doctor's Daughter in the episode of that name but is also the real-life daughter of previous Doctor Peter Davison.

I sense the heads of many Whovians exploding with delight :)
