I have my first leather loop that has an end window of the 12th and my blue loop just has May. I'm still completely stumped as to why these are taking so long. These, along with the sports, seem like a very easy thing to automate.

What faulty bands. As far as I'm aware this has not been a major issue like you're saying. I haven't heard anywhere that certain bands have had faults and others are fine. Besides if one colour of sport band for example had a fault all the colours would have. What is your source of this information.

That's not what he is saying. He is saying that there has been a major fault issue with certain types and colours of bands which to my knowledge has no truth in it.

There have been documented problems with the black sports band pealing and losing its glossy finish. There also has not been a single modern buckle that has shipped. The only explanation for this is production issues.

I ordered a white sport band and a link band and neither have shipped and are still processing. I wonder if the MacRumors staff is going to pick up on this story so we can get some answers. They say available to ship may but what does that even mean?

It means they will ship sometime in May. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out....

What kind of answers are you looking for? Obviously its taking Apple some time to get up to full speed and manufacture the products to meet demand. It happens every time they release a new product.

I'm not saying Apple is perfect, there has been some strangeness to this launch, but its not difficult to understand that there is a shipping range with every product and sometimes that range is a month or more...Apple USUALLY (not always but more often than not) gets products out to customers on the early to mid side of their promised date range.

I.E - I expect to see movement starting this week on band orders...for those that ordered right after the bands went on sale. And yes, there will be fluctuation on delivery dates depending on which band you order, just like the watches.

But who knows, I could be all wrong and crazy. :D

I was under the impression Apple was struggling to ship watches not bands.

Its clear, no matter how much research was done, it’s been a bad launch.

The 24th was the Launch date, and so far many many separately ordered straps are still processing, they should have been sent out after 1 week.

I know it’s a completely new product but what about the marketing guys & girls they should’ve foreseen every eventuality.

I ordered an extra 42 Milanese strap at 07 minutes past the hour on launch day and it’s still processing

I think the WSB and Blue SB will be sent out really fast and ahead of schedule. They seem to be most prevalent with the watches so I'd assume the same can be said about the bands.

BSB are probably going to lag again due to demand and by whatever manufacturing issues they had before.

As for anything non SB, be prepared to wait.

They have a little more than a week to make the delivers by deadline per my order. I just wonder how far back the other will be without a time frame.

It would just be nice to see some movement, any movement on the bands. I still don't think they have shipped any band orders!!

How is that possible / acceptable?

i reckon 80% of sports bands will be shipped within the next 72 hours and i think milanese loops etc will ship late this week early next week.

Nothing has happened any weekend because they are taking in shipments from china, and they are preparing them, as we have all seen at the start of last week nothing happened at the weekend and then monday tuesday there was mass movement. Same will happen this week, especially since they have had an extra day to prepare (today, its bank holiday)

It's only a bank holiday in the UK ... the US is business as usual ...

I'm still waiting to be able to order a modern buckle. I ordered a 38mm SS with Milanese Loop, got that on launch day. Ordered a BSB same day as the original watch order and no movement on that what so ever. There is no orders being accepted for the modern buckle. Just says unavailable ... Grrrr.

Have you seen any bands ship yet?

Do we actually believe Apple prefers to make people wait? Not sure if struggling is the correct word, but either way I'm sure they would like to get everyone the bands they ordered ASAP and take their money. :)

Never would I have figured a watch band, no make that EVERY watch band would be experiencing manufacturing delays.

It's a band!!!

Has anyone received a band yet?

I ordered a 42mm Milanese at 3:05am on the 10th, I was given a date of April 29 to May 12, and it's still processing.

I don't think EVERY band is experiencing delays. I think they are just using them all for the watches. That said, I find it odd that they aren't available. The cases for iPhones, for example, are always in huge supply while the iPhone's are harder to come by.

Ya but none are shipping.

And what makes this weirder IMHO is that with the haptic engine issue is supposedly slowing the actual watch manufacturing, you think the simpler to make bands would be outpacing the watch manufacturing.

My leather loop has a date of May 12th and it hasn't moved. That's next Tuesday. At this rate it's closer to the end of the window than my 42mm SS BSB was for the pre-order. I received the Watch 8 days prior to the end of the window. What's more alarming is the May dates have not received a delivery window.

Same here, except I ordered a couple minutes after you. Love my WSB, but can't really dress it up. Mine just says May. I'm waiting to the 15th before I get frustrated if no status change occurs.

I just don't get it. No separate bands shipping. There are six different band models with color choices, equals 17 different bands and they are shipping NONE of them. Heck they are still not even taking orders on individual modern buckle bands.

What is the problem that they cannot produce sufficient quantities of any of them?!?!?!?!
