A file system is not necessary when the cloud is slowly being perfected. If you are going to be in an area without Internet, make sure you have the documents on your iPad before hand. I have about 5-6 applications that have a file storage of some kind, and 2-3 of them can be transfered between applications or opened in others.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab has two cameras, HDMI, USB, Flash, etc... basically blows the ipad out of the water... i wish apple would add hdmi and usb but knowing them....
But I mean if the price is right it might be worth a look, $549 for an ipad is still a lot, too much imo.. And anyway the Android OS is one of the better ones out there..
I agree with everything you say here - both the potential specs for the iPad 2 as well as what I would like to see, except that I have no real interest in a camera. I suppose if it had one, I would find uses for it, but as it stands, I couldn't care less.iPad is selling like hotcakes. I expect only a minor hardware upgrade in spring.
- Same screen size
- Same screen resolution, no Retina yet
- 512mb RAM
- Possibly smaller, somewhat lighter form factor
- Front facing camera, same as in iPhone / iPod touch
- Same storage options
- Same pricing except 3G models now $599 / $699 / $799
Despite modest changes, this allows for marketing such as "Twice as fast. Now with Facetime. All in an even smaller package."
I'm clueless, but I just have this feeling that iPad 2 is gonna be somewhat underwhelming. Of course I haven't talked about software changes. We know there's a new one coming in november. Another one is probably coming at the iPad 2 launch - actually it has to be, if nothing else than to implement Facetime (and this one we can be certain of).
Now this is the stuff I want to see:
- Larger 12" screen (same aspect ratio though)
- Same form factor, which means bezel shrinks and makes room for screen
- Increased resolution, about 200 PPI (call it Retina or not, doesn't matter)
- 512mb RAM
- Front facing camera
- USB
Of course I want a new A5 chip @ 1.8 GHz and new GPU, 1gb RAM and weight of about 500 grams too (current is 680 / 730). But you can't have it all. The stuff above are all things I actually consider somewhat resonable. Whether they increase screen size depends on if they release the rumored 7" device. If they do, I think they'll want to differensiate. If not, not so likely.
LOL you are exactly the type of consumer their marketing department is looking for.
Too bad (for them) that there aren't enough like you to make their product popular.

That is fine and dandy for the occasional file edit, but when you have 20 docs in goodreadere to edit, 'open in' docstogo, edit and than emailing it back to your self to get it back to good reader is nothing short of bush league computing.
Why cant both apps open the file from the same location like my jail broken iPad can?
Very basic functionality which is glaringly missing from iOS.
I just got a 64GB Ipad wifi, and it is a nice peice of hardware. Overpriced, but nice! I wish Apple would let us put Flash on the device. I do not buy all of what they are saying about Flash as I have used it on PC's for years, and it works great. A lot of the internet is using Flash and that is not going to change anytime soon. Just give us the app, and let us decide whether or not it is good or bad. It can always be uninstalled. I do not like iTunes either, but I have found other apps to put music, photos, etc on the Ipad. I have not jailbroken mine as I have read too many bad experiences doing so. I do not understand why some folks are comparing phones with the iPad. They are two different animals. I love Android devices as they are much more open. I think putting a rear camera on the Ipad would be silly. A front camera would be usefull. I would also like to see a tablet with a real OS on it, like Leopard or Windows 7. The latter exists, but are a mixed bag.

I have an Ipad and will be selling it, for a Android Tab. Galaxy looks nice, i just want to know what the price is?
Android has all the functionality i need without the boundaries of Ipad. Ipad is a neat device, but Its so closed and with so many work arounds just to get any basic "creatiion" function to work.
Having access to the file system is huge to me. I could care less about camera on the back of a tab, a front one would be cool, but again its not required for me. I would like to be able to use a tablet like a laptop or desktop computer, period.
Ipad doesnt allow me to do that, easily... android has the perfect platform to do that tho.

thank you and continue to buy apple products and support corporate America so we can live in the grievous west, plan more false flag operations and take down our world trade center skyscrapers blame it on the east and take over and continue to live in the grievous west.
p.s my kids are going to college![]()
Like other people have said, backwards camera would be kinda pointless...
