By way of an update... got my replacement Nato band... and same situation... one half of the band won't fit into either side of the watch... clearly, their quality is slipping... writing off Clockwork Synergy bands for the time being.

Had the same happen with some adapters I ordered and received this week. They would only go 20% in or so. Getting a refund. Looks like they'll be getting some new ones from their vendor in the coming weeks. I'll reach out to them then. Ordered these from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XMYZCQH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Anyone know of a Silicon/Rubber strap with a standard buckle for the Series 2?

I have the Nomad, which I really like (thanks to this thread), but wondered if there was anything else out there?

Thanks.

Worker73, Best Buy carries some silicone/plastics/nylon bands with standard buckles. Pretty affordable too- I attached a pic just so you can see what I'm talking about.

I made my own strap so to speak. I'm absolutely in love with the Leather Strap. The quality and texture is amazing. A bit thicker than I would like it to be, but I can't wait to break it in fully. Reminds me of Cole Haan's "British Tan" color.

My wife wants the Midnight Blue sport band for the 38mm rose gold watch. Without spending $50 on the Apple one which is the best brand to get?

Green leather straps are seldom seen on the forum, so here´s my "Cordovan Reverse" by Arrow & Board. I think it´s ultra cool, and it´s one of my absolute favorites. The cordovan leather is also extremely comfortable. :D

Wooooooow...that looks awesome. I've wanted to get a cordovan strap for a long time, might go with Arrow and Board. How would you compare the feel of it to a regular leather band??

Spend the 50 bucks man - the copies are all pretty bad and doesn't feel nearly as nice or last as long
Yeah, that's what I'm most likely going to do. Do you know if they still make the one with gold accents, or only the silver now?

I think by "gold accents" you mean gold pin, and they only made that version to come with the Watch. You might be able to find one on ebay etc, but otherwise it's just sliver

Sorry, yes, that's what I meant. Ok, I'll keep an eye out on ebay, otherwise I'll just buy the one from Apple.

There are two problems with the 3rd party sport bands:

1) every one I've seen has been silicone, while the Apple bands are fluoroelastomer, which really does feel different - you might not mind the difference, or might even end up preferring the silicone, but they are different; and,

2) Apple wins on consistency - the band you buy from them today will be nearly exactly the same as the band you could buy from them two years ago - in comparison, many of the third-party companies selling through eBay and Amazon will be replaced by different companies six months on; that, combined with many of them using Apple's pictures of the bands (rather than taking pictures of their own products) can make it really hard to know exactly what you're getting until it arrives. It also means that a recommendation from someone about a great band they got six months ago might be useful or might be quite misleading.

As well, recommendations from others of "it's exactly the same as the Apple ones" can run all the way from it really being exactly the same (highly doubtful because of silicone issue), to it being merely mostly capable of successfully attaching to the Apple Watch (seriously, I recall seeing claims of "just as good as the Apple ones" accompanied by pictures with the band clearly overhanging the channel where it attaches to the watch). People seem to have widely varying opinions of what the word "exactly" means.

So... consider recommendations with some amount of caution. (I'm not saying "don't get a 3rd party band", just... caveat emptor.)

I've got some credit on Amazon that's burning a hole in my pocket and I'd really like to get my first watch band (aside from the one that came with the watch). Anyone have any opinions on the Milanese loop bands that are currently on Amazon? It seems like Moko is highly favored, but it's "Currently unavailable." 42mm watch.

The Spigen is pretty good / has been favorably commented upon around here. I don't wear mine much (just because there are many to choose from), and I think a bit of the edge is now showing silver on mine, which is otherwise space gray (I doubt would happen with Apple's real one).

Thank you! It´s a single layer leather, and one can really notice that the close fibers of the shell result in a smooth, strong and flexible strap. It´s real soft right from production and doesn´t need to be broken in. Also, both sides of the leather is equally dense and smooth, guess that´s why Arrow and Board choose to make this particularly strap "reversed." That being the inside of the leather is the outside of the strap. It´s as comfortable as Apple´s Classic buckle, which also is a real soft and comfotable strap. I´m a huge fan, and hope you´ll like it if you choose to purchase one. :)

I ended up getting the Spigen (available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E4TQJHK/)

So far I really like it. The magnet seems very strong. It might slip a little, but not much. Not sure about the long-term durability, but you can't go wrong for only $20.
The Spigen is pretty nice for the price, I haven't seen any trouble with the mechanics, but the dark color has worn off a bit on one of the edges on the underside that goes up against the edges of tables and such. I suspect the DLC on Apple's original would fare better, but I'm not prepared to pony up the $200 for that yet.

Got this band set from amazon and I got the dreaded slide in and out and wont lock problem. I did all the tricks to try and make it lock and it would never lock. I'm nervous that I just have a defective watch, but the oem band has no problem locking. I want to get new bands but dont want to go through the hassle of returning if I run into the same problem. Sucks....

go to a local apple store and try out different bands to see if they work with your watch. If so then you know its not your watch.
