i bought 2 3rd bands on amazon -- a nylon and sport loop. both had 4+ stars.

both were garbage. within 5 minutes of wearing each one i had already processed a return.

i did have luck with a milanese loop and leather strap. those are quality bands and will be part of my rotation. but those others were trash.

It has gotten so bad with the fake reviews on Amazon, you can't really make use of any reviews, especially since Amazon mixes different reviews together.

Amazon promised to crack down on the review process but, it seems to have gotten worse to me. Really frustrating as a Prime member.

Ok so my third party sport loop came in today. I don’t have an official Apple one at home but I’ve Played with it at the store.

First impressions: easy to put on and sits Flush and tight. The material feels exactly the same as the Apple one from what I could remember, even the Velcro feels of good quality, snapped on nice and tight, I get the impression that it will last a long time. Feels really comfortable and to be honest material wise I couldn’t tell the difference between this and the Apple one. Color wise I think is the only negative, the Apple one has less of the pink colorful material underneath and looks darker as a result, but I’m going to stop by the Apple store tomorrow to compare this a little better

Now for some pics:

I bought one of these also, however I have the Apple version to compare it with. The Amazon band is narrower and feels "rougher" and stiffer than the Apple band. I'm glad I only ordered one to check it out. I'll stick with my Apple versions and gift this one to someone.

I'm currently rotating a Link Bracelet, Milanese Loop, Leather Loop and white Sports Band (all third party except for the Sports Band) on my 42mm. Silver Sport Series 0, have ordered a Third Party black Sports Band.

How come I don't see a lot of Silver Sports with Link Bracelet? I read that some people think it looks horrible but I don't think the combination is any more off than the Link Bracelet combined with the SS.

Also I don't understand why almost all adapters are polished and almost none resemble the Silver Sports colour.

Easy: the bands with polished adapters are made for the SS watch, not the sport. Personally, I don't think the polished lugs look good in the Alu watch. It makes the watch look cheap and less luxurious.

Because in my opinion:
---------------------------------
Silver sports colour: sports watch. Oriented towards sport activities.
Complementary bands: Sport bands (fluorelastomer lugs), Woven nylon bands (plastic lugs), sport loop (plastic lugs)
---------------------------------
Polished look: daily (not only sports) watch. Oriented (by looks only, not the actual functions) towards all kind of activities: business, casual, luxe, and sports.
Complementary bands: all: sports, nylon, loop, leather, leather loop, link bracelet, milanese.

Yeah, I know. But I think there is a huge market for proper aluminium (look) lugs. There are a load of people who can't justify the price difference for a SS but also want to be able for the Watch to look fancier. I know Nomad used lugs with a matte finish but I think they switched to polished ones a while ago.

I think the 'huge market' is ignored to keep the SS as premium product as well. SS lugs don't go well with Alu watches, so they are destined for the SS watch only. This watch is more expensive, so the SS lugs give the SS watch a greater pool of bands. This can be a reason to get people to buy the more expensive SS watch: you want the premium bands, you 'need' the premium watch.

Bought a Black and Ocean Blue sport band from here recently:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Kin...32441680761.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.N6hu8K

Took 13 days from ordering to get to me. The Ocean Blue one looks decent but the black is horrendous. You'd think black would be an easy color to get right but this one has a weird greenish / yellowish hue to it. They actually feel like $3 bands too. They are a bit stiff and way more slippery than the official Apple ones. You get what you pay for I guess haha. I got 2 for $6 shipped from China.

Bought my 38mm aluminium black watch a while ago, and was wondering what's the best third party black milanese loop out there?

Also, what do you guys prefer: milanese or the sports loop?

The sports loop is really comfy for everyday (if your lifestyle is casual). The Milanese dresses it up a bit more and is very nice and not uncomfortable.

Here's a look at the Urvoi Milanese and Faux Leather loops. I prefer my new Urvoi link bracelet but both of these are nice. The Milanese is a good thickness, looks and feels nice. The leather looks great, feels nice, but noticeably stiffer than my genuine Apple leather loop. Both easily worth the money. The link bracelet awesome though.

I’m looking for a good 1:1 Sport Loop Nylon band in black clone but can’t find one anywhere.

All of the clones I can find at about 7/8” whereas I understand the official Apple to be 1” wide.

Does anyone know of any after markets clones that are the same width?

I just bought this one (won't arrive for another few days)... but the specs says the dimensions are "8.5 x 1 x 0.1 inches".
