The buckle/strap look really bulky. Is that just in the photos or do you notice that as well in person?

Not on the honey gator strap. On the field drab, yes, the buckle and strap are larger, but that doesn't really bother me as I'm used to wearing straps like that and I like that style.

So are there any band adapters that adapt down to 22mm? I just feel that 24mm straps are too wide for me. Apple's own Milanese Loop is 22mm wide on the 42mm AW.

Yeah I had seen that band you linked to. I love it except for the way it connects. The thing that separates JUUK from all the other 3rd party metal link bands is the adapter being built into the band rather than just using the basic pin or lug type connection. I hate the gaps created by all these other adapter and band combos

Found something for you: JUUK like band including correct connectors

The seller is taking pre-orders right now with shipments beginning July 18th. Band goes for about 80 USD and is only available as 42 mm for the moment. Expect to see more link bands popping up on AliExpress in July including a "perfect" 1:1 clone somewhere in the month. That one will go for a bit more though with a current pre-sale price of about 300 USD (I am sure this will be changed before actual release) [Source: Click!]. It comes in 38 and 42 mm.

I found something like this on AliExpress and ordered it. It's been ten days and still hasn't shipped. In a previous post on this thread someone said its not an exact clone but something that looks similar with regular adapters. I only paid $36 so we'll see. But I definitely want to find an exact copy.

That person was probably me. ;-) I had it on order too but then canceled to wait for a real 1:1.

It won't be identical to Apple's band - although somewhat similar. I received pictures from the actual model they are waiting to receive from the factory next week and they look like this. Still somewhat similar but a real clone consisting of 120 parts and is precise and well built enough to last will cost its money - also in China.

Yes, it was you. This is the post. I actually like the band. But maybe I should cancel because I definitely want to get the exact copy when it's available.

If you can wait until July I guess it will be worth it. I have heard of a 1:1 clone to be released around July 10th. (Although that date should probably be taken with the usual grain of salt.) ;-)

Why do you think it is taking so long to ship? Could it be possible they are waiting for the 1:1 clone? That is what they advertised.

I'm expecting my first third-party band to arrive tomorrow (already have the Utica Guy adapters ready for it.)

My question -- how is everyone storing / displaying their extra watch straps when they are not in use?

I'm in a similar boat. Will either store my sport band in the original Apple plastic case it came with or in a jewelry box I have.

I like the bubble gum pink color and it goes great with your sport aluminum. Did you add a hole on your band to fit tighter? If so you must have really small wrists.

I didn't order the pink leather but after looking through their bands ordered the Vintage Distressed Edge Canvas Denim bands in blue and light blue. http://www.ebay.com/itm/StrapsCo-Vi...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item23538b35a9

Like that they come with a buckle and spring pins (as not all watch bands do). The buckle comes in a polished stainless which will match my AW SS. Think they will look cute with jeans and not expensive at $20 and free ship. Thanks for getting me to take a look at what they had.
Very perceptive! I did add another hole lol! 6" wrist ~

I'm not sure what the reason is. I'm pretty sure you won't get a 1:1 clone for 30 USD. The band consists of about 120 precise parts that are partially mechanic. Even in China that price is not possible for a clone manufacturer without forgoing his profit margin - at least when production has just started. I think they are still waiting for the band I uploaded pictures of to finally hit the market and then you will probably get that. As for why they changed to 60 USD afterwards I don't know. Personally I think they just saw a big amount of orders and wanted to test how far they can go. In case customers complain when they don't get a real clone they can still hope to settle for 30 USD and still make a good profit. I have seen that plenty of times on AliExpress.

If you really want a high quality clone of the link bracelet I would suggest you to wait a little longer and rather cancel the order. This is all based on my personal feeling but I have been buying stuff from China for almost 10 years now and think I can sniff out those products that just seem too good to be true. Sorry for having to dampen your hopes! :-/

As for the real clone I will post once I have new info.
