Came across this high-end Swiss watch band site: https://www.lucrin.com Really nice quality Classic bands. Beautiful colors. Choice from 4 different leathers. Comes with adapters in Silver or Space Gray. Least expensive leather I saw in your choice of colors ran $166 so bit more than Apple's Classic band.

My replacement watch strap from Lucrin got delivered 2 days back. They barely made it within the expected delivery time though (10 business days).

But the wait was worth it!

I chose the mocha colored band for my 42mm Apple Watch. It looks and feels sturdy and clips in in exactly the same way as the original watch bands. It has quite the hefty price tag on it, but so far, I have no regrets! And i think that's what counts - i just hope it stays that way for the next 6 months at least.

Cheers!

I'm not normally one to like mixed finishes Polished/brushed but have to say the small strips of polished on this band look really nice. Very tasteful. And great price. Bet your photos will sell more of this band than the Hadley Roma photos on sites! Nice photography.

Ha. Yeah one of the issues i had with the Apple Link band is, the SS watch is polished, which means even the apple band is not matching i wanted something with polish on it. This was a perfect match with the center polished bits. tied it all together. I actually went to the mall and to a jewelry repair kiosk. they had all sorts of nice bands. they had one with the same sizes and more polished in the center.

I just found their site the other day. Looks good. Their lower end leathers (still top quality) looked to be priced just above Apple's classic. I loved the color choices and leathers available. Glad to hear you like the band. It's always nice to have at least one nice quality leather band for dress. Which leather did you go with?

That looks nice. I like that the adapters are already included. Thanks for the link.

Interesting to see some of these bands becoming available for purchase in China right now (without the "JUUK" logo). Either that is already the turnout of a first production run or JUUK is also just slapping their logo on these bands and puts them in a more premium packaging.

No matter what... They do look good.

We have seen the same thing with the Lunatik Cases. There were Chinese copies coming out while the Kickstarter for the Lunatik Case/Band was still going on.

Do you by chance have any link for Chinese versions of the JUUK band? Because getting one now vs. December would be nice.

That looks very much like the band I got in today! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C7VZCAS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 So far I love it. (Still waiting on my space gray lugs.) The fit is perfect, but if my wrist were any smaller, I wouldn't be able to get it tight enough.

View attachment 564348 View attachment 564348 i went with these guys at Bandrbands.com. Loved the strap (came with the adapters) so ended up buying them in a few more colors. love the fit of the bands(velcro snug) and the price was great. http://www.bandrbands.com/Apple-Watch-Bands-42mm.aspx
May look into picking up some leather bands from them too when I see some feedback.

Well, AliExpress saw a huge wave of postings claiming to sell the "Apple Watch Link Band" as a 1:1 clone lately. Somehow most of them have been removed or changed from approximately 30 USD to 60 USD (all pretty shady) during the last days. There are several shops run by the same person(s) - one e.g. using the name "Oatmall" and another called "Oaec Electronic Company" - claiming to have that 1:1 clone. When I spoke to them however they said it would not be a real 1:1 clone and send me pictures of the actual band they claimed to be shipping. I uploaded the photos with a link to the article here. Besides the lugs that band pretty much looks like the JUUK link band.

Then there was that posting on Taobao which exactly looks like the band from JUUK (including the lugs). Someone on the forum posted a link and even tried to order one to the US. I can't exactly remember where he posted it though. No matter what, I think you don't need to spend the effort to buy on Taobao right now since what turns up there usually also turns up on AliExpress a little later. They probably are about to ramp-up production on that thing - that's usually the case when those first photos pop up here and there.

Yeah I had seen that band you linked to. I love it except for the way it connects. The thing that separates JUUK from all the other 3rd party metal link bands is the adapter being built into the band rather than just using the basic pin or lug type connection. I hate the gaps created by all these other adapter and band combos

The band does look cool. And seeing your photo, I also got the same adapters from the Utica guy and did not notice until I put a new brown leather band on them that the top and bottom of the adapter were not the same polished SS look as the sides. Thought that perhaps mine were faulty, but yours looks the same - at least from the pictures.
BTW - do you find that the watch band slides back and forth on the adapter? Looks like there is quite a bit of space on either side.
