I was considering this strap from Bexar, looks nice. Anything real similar at a better price? Has anyone got one? It says reserve now but I think at first they were available.

It is a good looking band. But IMO you automatically pay a premium if it comes with the adapters.

I think I'm going to order a strap from Klien and use my own adapter. Not really significantly cheaper and but think not being hit with a premium "Apple-fee".

i question/wonder how reliable they are, as they are advertising *all* finishes of adapter, including aluminium. i'm pretty sure there aren't any aluminium adapters coming out of china yet - not sure where they got them from. no pictures up of it (aluminium), perhaps they're hoping they become available in the next 4 weeks?

Has anyone tried one of these?

I emailed them and they said the weave is as fine as the genuine ones? They say I can return it if not happy. Not sure if I should take a risk or wait til Xmas and get a real one. I saw the comparison of the real vs baseus one and it didn't look great!

New clockwork synergy straps

They are nice and different than the rest of my straps.

i just got my leather clockwork strap, black buckle makes me think it is going to chip quickly. Is this the case? the screws on the adapter, do I need to use thread lock? can I use the adapter with other bands?

Ordered a black nylon strap from Clockwork Synergy last week with space grey adapter & black buckles - realized afterward that I'd just prefer to go with black adapter as well & maintain a two-tone watch between the grey finish, black screen, buckles & adapter so I called their customer service department and they were beyond helpful. The gentleman I spoke to said he was putting two black adapters in an envelope along with a screwdriver for me & sending it two-day shipping as well as emailing me a UPS label with which to send back the grey adapters.
The band arrived yesterday and they mistakenly sent me the black & grey nylon strap though I really like the look as, along with the black adapters having arrived today, it fits the two-tone look I'd talked about above very well. So I decided to keep that one and got online & ordered another black nylon strap with black adapter & buckles.
Despite them sending out the wrong strap, I've been very impressed with their work as well as their customer service and will definitely be ordering more from them in the future.
If you haven't checked out their straps already, drop on by www.clockworksynergy.com and give them a look!

Mine came in today.
Wow! That is fantastic! Now that is a fashion statement, yet not in your face. Easily one of the best looking combos I've seen. And easily blows away anything by Apple (except maybe the link if you prefer metal).

While a different look since I got blue, I think that yours is the much, much better value over the leather loop by Apple.

Thanks for posting, I'm going to go over to Klien and try to settle on one. Probably the wine color one.

Well obviously depends on the quality, but being black alone should not be an issue.

I had a Michael Kors watch w/a silicone band and black buckle that was my every day watch for years. Then when I got AW I harvested it for the AW and while I rotate with several bands, it is the one I wear the most due to comfort and looks. So the band is over five years old and still looks new. And as you know MK is made by Fossil so it's not like it is super expensive or anything.

I prefer the back buckles w/my SG Sport.

They sent me the wrong straps too.. Ordered Croco bands, received smooth leather instead..

Here are the "Tag Heuer" deploy clasp + smooth leather straps. Clasp looks great imo.

How long did yours take to arrive after shipping from clock work synergy. My order has been stuck in pre-shipment on USPS site for 3 days now.

Mine was stuck on Pre-shipment also for 3 days. Ordered on the 7th (Tuesday). Yesterday (Saturday), it showed it arrived in Denver, and will be out for delivery tomorrow (Monday). It didn't show any progress those 3 days until it arrived in Denver.

How close a match is the space gray adapters to the SG watch?

Thanks.

It's pretty standard in the watch industry that black buckles and loops use the same PVD process that Apple uses for the space black watch. The difference being the materials that they use (Apple uses DLC) some use tungsten or other very durable materials. It makes them much more durable than any sort of paint would be. You really shouldn't see any chipping whatsoever.

I would think that CWS should have put blue loctite on those screws in the adapter, so you can remove them and put them onto a different band if you like. That's not a practice that I would do often though, as those have very tiny, thin threads. If you keep swapping, you'll eventually strip the threads. You really should just buy a pair of adapters for each strap.

Apple's Guideline to Band developers relative to the classic adapter is as follows: "2x M1.2 screw with threadlocker, screw to be discarded and replaced if removed". The classic adapters I've bought from Freedomoclock have come with 6 or 7 screws I think so at least a few band changes if you needed to. I do plan on picking out an adapter style for each band and leaving the band on it.

The classic adapter does require there to be enough room in the band end to insert the tubes through. Not all bands allow for that, all will accommodate a spring pin. I have found that when I've ordered a band that came with tubes in it, it was a good fit. Used my watch tool to push the tubes out and then just inserted the classic adapter tubes instead.

The blue Loctite (242) is intended for screw diameters ranging 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch -- 6mm to 20mm ( http://www.henkelna.com/adhesives/p...9521&msdsLanguage=EN_US&selectedTab=technical ). The purple Loctite (222) is intended for screw diameters less than 1/4 inch -- 6mm ( http://www.henkelna.com/product-sea...3089&msdsLanguage=EN_US&selectedTab=technical ). Different fixture times and torque break ratings. Threadlocker is something new to me but I have to wonder if you use one that is rated stronger than recommended for the screw being used if that's why you might strip the screw trying to get it out. I found the purple 222 through an automotive store on Amazon for less than $9.

My package got lost from freedomoclock. Of course he is the ONLY seller with the new style adapters. No refund no offer to ship another set. Just tells me to check my mailbox.

I've placed several orders with him thru ebay and always received tracking info for each order. Believe the tracking was stated in a "shipped" email and ebay lists the tracking on your account summary details. Have you followed up with the post office yet? Sometimes the tracking info can be stalled. If the post office lost it I can see he's under no obligation to refund or ship another set though. That's crappy it's lost. I bet you have bands waiting for the adapters. Hope it shows up.
