I was just about to refine my question, as Im am really tired from reading all this info.. You hit it on the head.. thanks placing order now.

Only downside is the sides of the pin style are not chromed.
That's YESOO brand which is the same brand of spring pin adapters Utica Guy sells (same seller for these bands, too.)

Might have to start using YESOO like we're using HOCO to describe these items instead of Utica Guy. I've seen some YESOO on Amazon, too.

Good idea, but the very first set of regular apple style adapters i got were Yesoo Branded in the little Yesoo Ziplock bag. Since then any adapters i have purchased (apple type and springbar type) have been unbranded in little ziplock bags. Quality has improved though. I'm not sure Yesoo is the main manufacturer anymore. I have another 4 springbar types coming from 2 different sellers and 2 more apple type. Will report back if any come in Yesoo packaging.

As noted above on this page the spring pin adapters only seem to be polished on the sides. I haven't seen something more fully polished and am thinking maybe we won't because I imagine all the work involved in getting a high polish is complicated by the irregular shape of the spring pin adapter and inside corners of it. Love to hear if anyone knows of a more fully polished one though.

Yeah. I wish the adapter looked a little beefier too. I wish I knew how to work a milling machine. Might be interesting to try to mill my own tungsten adapters for my watch and harvest all the components out of one of the adapters I have now for the smaller component parts.

Just received this custom kangaroo leather strap for my SGS from a guy I found by chance in one of my random google searches. Really like the hand crafted look, got to pick the leather, colour and stitching and he even made it longer for my larger (205mm) wrists.

Thinking I might go blue cow leather with cream or white stitching next.
Cost was $36 AUD including shipping (no adapters)

My sport SG with red leather HOCO premium .. Feel cheap but for 30€...
Also on the ebay auction the close was in silver and not copper :(

Hope Apple will release a sport or leather red band... I like the color combination

Tungsten's complete overkill, but steel would be nice. And just a tiny bit beefier. The Click design looks quite reasonable - not the original design that's prominent (and kind of spindly), but their more recent sample pictures.

Hmmm, mine will be arriving on Monday so hopefully it won't be too bad. I ended up paying 18 dollars for it with a 10 dollar off sale, so I don't mind if it's not perfect. For me it just has to feel sturdy enough so I don't feel like it will break, and I suppose there always is the option to return it. How is the clasp on it?

Here you go. I wasn't able to make a video because I have nothing around to hold my phone stead and it takes two hands to show the "wobble" between the watch and adapter. You can position the adapter to look flush, but it won't stay that way for long. Maybe I'm being picky but given the fact groupon says this band goes for $100 normally, I'd have expected more.

EDIT - also as an FYI, the adapters do not have a consistent finish. The sides are polished by the front and backs are brushed. The clasp is also brushed.

The clasp is pretty sturdy. It took me a while to figure out how to adjust it though, because I've never had a watch with a clasp like this before. I figured it out after searching you tube.

The overall build does not feel cheap. I just expected more from the fit and finish due to the supposedly $100 price tag when not on sale. I wouldn't pay $100 for the band. Maybe I'm being picky though. 2 people I've talked to says it looks fine to them.

Today I received my black (real black....not "tarnish" like the Amazon one that is being returned and refunded) 3link bracelet from Maikeke/Aliexpress.
It came with a adjustment tool for the length of the band and a tempered glass screen protector....and a note: "Especially for you" ........
Only a couple of hours before I get my  Watch....she 's boarding now (my daughter).

I just got this band and I'm really happy with it! I love the look of the 5 bead and the seamless clasp! It came super quick and the quality is way better than I expected. I think the seller has other options like the 3 bead and different color options too. Love that it's prime!

How heavy is it? It looks great and am thinking of getting one, but don't want anything super heavy. Any info would be much appreciated. Also, was sizing as easy as it appeared. Thanks.

Since some of us want some of the third party stuff, i thought i'd set a mega thread up where we can post other third party straps/bands we've seen..

I wonder if we could start a group editable list sticky thread where we could list companies that have complete bands (no need to install adapter), links, what they have, and a "grade"?

Just received from Germany:
http://www.watch-band-center.com/watchstrap-p17380h887s1578-Watch-strap-24mm-sta.html

I already have a couple of inexpensive 3 bead bands but nothing I would settle for long term. So far, I like this one the best. It's not exactly the apple link, but it will do until I hit the lotto or clones become more readily available. :)
I'm stil sorting out the sizing (that's why the friction pins are sticking out) I may be between links as one fewer is a bit snug but the links are small so the difference is not THAT drastic

Nice. Can you charge your watch from the lightning bolt on your hand?

Monowear Design has awful customer service and the watch band adapters do not match at all for the aluminum Sport model. They would not pay for shipping back. She claimed it was only for defective watch bands that they pay for return shipping. I argued that the color was defective and she still will not refund. Quality certainly does not command the $65.98 price tag. I do not recommend this company at all.
