only two months ago you would have had to 'pay' ~ $240 for it - assuming an identical German pricepoint. :cool:
 
I went ahead and ordered an 8GB black nano, can't wait for those new earphones to go on sale next month as well. Next up: ipod touch.

is that all the ipods you've ever owned, or all that you currently have/use?
 
i didn't buy one but I did stop by and look at them in person (partly for the lack of real pictures on the net). My thoughts: I like them but the screen is still to small for my tastes (ie watching video, i'm not saying people watch videos on these things but it is a feature, that I think is really unusable). The colors: the yellow looked best on the net pictures but the worst in person. I liked the the red looked good, so did the orange and green, but the purple, black and silver looked the best. The video looked a little odd against the purple background. I thought the silver was gonna be the best but i think i give it to the black because the black wasn't absolutely black more or a dark grey.
 
i agree about the yellow. Yellow is my favorite color and I intended to buy a yellow one today but after seeing it.. meh :\
It's more gold than yellow. I got the orange one. So happy!

interesting. It looks bright yellow online. Like rubber-raincoat-yellow. Which I think the color online looks almost gaudy, but now I'm interested to see the color in person.

nope.I love the previous shorter version and will be sticking with that one.
I liked how they got rid of all the empty space around the clickwheel.
was totally unaware of a new version actually not that I was paying attention really.
 
I just ordered a Product Red 16 GB one. I'm a Man Utd fan (laser engraved Glory, Glory Man United) and have always been involved in fighting HIV/AIDS - two birds with one stone really..

I don't like to the looks of them either. I prefer the short Nano for its looks and it fits better in my pocket. Although I haven't held the new Nanos yet.
 
Just received my black 8GB Nano. Will try and take pics later.

Is the click wheel on anybody's making little noises when they move over the buttons? Sounds kinda like little clicks whenever I rolls over the FF or RW buttons. Almost like the wheel is uneven.
 
I'm glad I ordered my refurb 3g nano recently, really not loving the new design. I can't figure out the reasoning behind the curved front... doesn't it make it difficult to watch anything on the screen?
 
I bought my silver 8GB today! My Best Buy received a shipment and I went as soon as possible. It's so awesome. The design is just beautiful. The oval shaped body and curved screen are awesome, and the screen is so clear and bright. I'm so happy I updated my 2G! I'll post pics later.
 
i just picked up an 8GB blue from my local best buy.

love. it.

so beautiful, great new ui...

but.

on the scroll wheel, under the /<< sign, there is a small black dot that is driving me crazy. i'm wondering, should i try an exchange through best buy, or deal with apple?

Oh, I'm annoyed the yellow isn't as cool as it looks online. Haven't seen them in the flesh yet but will go and check them out asap. Not sure which I'll end up going for.
 
If someone could post pics of blue, green, purple, that would greatly appreciated! Will new ihomes and such be needed or is the dock connecter and stuff the same?
 
I went to check them out in the store, Green, Purple, Pink and Red are very bright! The blue is a nice deep blue, looks really great. The black isn't really black, its more of a really dark gray. The orange and yellow seem more saturated than the other colors, but I'm not sure if it was just because of the lighting in the store. I really like the silver one, seems a bit more professional and will probably match my Macbook Pro. So I'm not really sure what color I want. I really like orange and blue, but I'm leaning towards the silver because I really like the black click wheel.
