Just received my red Nano... This thing is sweet. I didn't realize just how small and thin it was until I held out... WOW. Apple really did a fantastic job with this Nano. The accelerometer is also way cool.

What is going on !?!?

In the UK some websites were saying stock of the Nano 16gb was due 18th September; some say 22nd September; some say 26th September; some say 1st October, and Amazon are saying 1-2 months

Is there a production shortage? Is Apple restricting the amount available to stoke demand ?

All I know is I want a shiny new 16gb nano and I'm sh*t out of luck...

I got mine yesterday, ordered the day before yesterday on the Apple store.

Just picked up a silver 16gb nano from the Apple Store in Leawood, KS. Wow, this thing is nice. I really like it a lot more than my 3g fat nano. I took a few pictures of it, along with some nano comparison shots for you. Sorry for the bad quality.

I bought the black, two days after they announced them, at my college Union PC store. The manager said he gets shipments fast because he doesn't order very many and his warehouse fills small orders first. I order a green one for my wife from Target.com (with a 10% discount) but it hasn't shipped yet, and it's been more than a week.

When Microsoft announced the 3.0 update for the Zune, I also picked up a black 8gb zune to compare against the new Nano. I've written a review comparing both, along with some photos, on my blog.

They can keep it. It'd be nice to have WiFi for buying music from the iTunes Store, but syncing can stay via USB since it'd have to be near the machine anyway.

Waterside Shops Apple Store in FL got a shipment of 16 gigs in. I cancelled my MacMall order and hauled ass over there! Haven't plugged it in yet, had to take some pictures for my MacRumors brethren first

I don't even care so much about syncing, I just think it'd be cool to be able to stream from an iPod to an Airport Express. You could walk around the house with your iPod, control of your music at your fingertips. If your friends had A.P.E., you could go to their house and just stream music to their stereo wirelessly. At least I think that'd be pretty neat

i dont like it ... it does look purple ... its the engraving ... it ugly , the font , the look , it just ruins everything , im going to call apple tommorow and ask them...
