It actually shipped on Oct 22, 2010 8:25AM Shanghai time, i.e. before yours, so it will get today to AK and clear customs there and get to me on MON. Your package was probably received after the FedEx cutoff time and didn't make it on today's flight.

I went with free shipping, so I'm glad I didn't waste $13 buck on extra shipping.

Congrats! What configuration do you have? I'll ask for a refund on the shipping.

BTO 13.3/2.13/4/256. Shipment notification received. ETA Tuesday or Thursday, depending on whom you ask (Apple or FedEx).

I'm starting to think the 2-3 day shipping upgrade was a waste of money as well. I ordered mine approximately 5 mins after the store went live and it still has not even changed to "prepared for shipment." Others have already received their BTO MBA. #FAIL.

My 13.3" Maxed shipped today for a planned Wednesday delivery (2-3 day shipping). There's some hope that it will arrive on Tuesday though. When I preordered the Apple TV, Fedex managed to deliver it a day early to my workplace.

How did you manage to get the 2.13 GHz processor and the 128 GB drive?

I didn't actually. We discussed this in a thread earlier, there seems to be a tagging problem in Apple's system. All 13" 4GB configurations seem to have a 2.13 ghz tag but showing the actual configuration, it's the 1.86 GHZ.

Speculation suggests that Apple did not plan on initially shipping a 1.86 GHZ configuration.

Cool! With the difference in timezones, and the International Date Line and all, you might get it yesterday. ;)

Mine finally says "Prepared for shipment," but even though I paid for 2-3 day shipping, it's very unlikely I'll receive it by Tuesday (based on others' experience), which sucks because I go out of town on Wednesday. Oh well.

Ordered 13"/2.13/4GB around noon on the 20th.

I got my shipping confirmation as well, pretty much the same as everyone else's. Fedex estimated date 10/27, currently in transit from Shanghai.

Actually, 11:53 AM PDT.

Still says "prepared for shipment". I wonder if this is in China and the work day there is over so it won't actually ship before Monday. That would explain why the delivery estimate time window starts only Tuesday Oct 26, not Mon Oct 25.

Again, just basing my assumptions off of what I experienced a few months ago with my CTO MBP.

They will continue to work tomorrow as its already tomorrow (Sat) there right now. So you may see your status change over the weekend. They work pretty much 7 days a week.

That said, Fedex may or may not do a pickup tomorrow.

I'd still expect to see the maxed out 13.3" rigs starting to show up around the 27th.

BTO = Build To Order

Truthfully, I've not seen any "BTO" designations on these rigs posted. These are all CTO's (Configured To Order) so the BTO designation is a misnomer. I'm not even sure there is such a thing, unless abbreviations vary depending on the country you reside in?

Holy nitpicking over semantics, Batman!

I'm pretty sure absolutely no one was confused about the difference (or lack thereof) between BTO and CTO.
