BTO UK delivery times?

Mines arrived in Luton!!!!!!!!

Not out for delivery yet though :(

Just been to apple store in regents street to drool over the

Is it roughly 8 days for BTO to UK delivery?

My reason for asking is I'm typing this on the standard spec 13" (from Apple Cambridge) last Saturday & I'm almost certain I'm gonna return it & order the max spec?

I think this MBA is brilliant & don't want to be without one. (Reason for upgrade is I'm gonna write a book using voice-type!)

Yeah I guess about 8 days mate that's if mine arrives

I hope it does mate.

Just checked with Apple in Cambridge & need to return Applecare (bought with last ever Ed. discount) & buy again with the BTO, apparently it's associated with the specific machine.
That's a sod 'cos in the past there's been a delay whilst they add the Applecare box in the UK to the order from China!

Good luck with your delivery. You'll love it-this MBA boots in 13 seconds-a lot faster than my MBP & i7 iMac!

Can anyone help me explain this tracking info for me?

It strikes me as rather bizarre that it goes from Shanghai in China to Koeln in Germany, to somewhere in Kazakhstan and then to South Korea, where as I am in the UK.

Slightly worried here....

I thought i'd have a play with one in the store before i ordered. My impressions for the test unit in the store were

Took the plunge, hope this is delivered as Apple say.

I separeted the two bits.

The bit where Koeln is mention is just a dealing between Shangai and Koeln for the import/export delivery. The other bit is where your MBA is traveling now.

Future stops: Poland and then Germany before it goes to UK. :)

Grrr. Looks like UPS are playing the old "let's pretend we called and they didn't answer the door" game. Crap. I've been sat here all morning.

Like I said... Grrr...

Whoops... that'll teach me to jump in on a thread without reading up on it.

Thank you Fraaaa. That's really quite helpful. Now it's making sense.

So it still has to make it's way through Poland and Germany and the UK. Guess that will rule out a friday delivery. :(

Thanks mate you'll all be the first to hear if it does arrive :)
