Yeah, I'll miss the thread too. Maybe we should order a new Apple system every 6 months for the thread reunion...

Sad tale of a lost MBA
Ordered my 13 2.4 4GB 256 GB Oct. 20 (the day they were announced) at about 1 pm Pacific Time.
Watched it ship out Monday night from Shanghai... to Anchorage, Oakland, LA... For delivery Wednesday morning. Stayed home waiting for Fedex to show up... No Fedex guy... And then... hells bells! Tracking says "Delivered"??? Well, I was sitting right here all morning and I'm still on my Macbook Pro. Nothing's been delivered, that I'm sure of. Signed by "P. Klos"? Who??? Never heard of this person! No one in my building by that name. When Fedex gets it wrong, they really get it wrong. This thing is in SF for all I know...
So, Fedex gave it to the wrong person, and they took and signed for it...
And the way this works is, even if Fedex finds it and gets it back, it goes back to Apple to make sure it hasn't been tampered with, and I have to wait for Apple's "investigation" to conclude before they will issue me a replacement.
Ugh! :-(

I thought I had it bad buying from a reseller and also waiting while it seemed like everyone got theirs already and/or were able to track.
Did you talk to apple? Maybe see if they have the ultimate MBA in stores now at your location and grab one...and cancel the ordered one.

I bought within hours of keynote, it took Apple 5 days to prepare for shipment and hand to UPS. This includes a weekend but ffs we all know the world doesn't stop turning on weekends anymore.
My prepared for shipping only happened in the US store login, not my home country UK store, you might want to try.

Ordered a 1.83/4gb/128gb MBA 13" on the 25th and should get mine on the 2nd or 3rd of november.

We should start hearing about European deliveries here soon.
Don't give up hope quite yet Sparkie, and for what it's worth, UPS sends out trucks for delivery in the morning, and again at about 1pm. And don't forget that you can always call UPS and pick it up at your local depot.
For those with computers out for delivery now, you will most likely get them before noon.
