Pre-ordered the 6c i7, 8/128 (will upgrade RAM later and most of my storage is on a NAS) with 10Gb ethernet from Adorama. No ETA for when they will have it in stock to ship, though. Hopefully it can arrive before the end of the month.

Shipping notification: Mac mini - next Friday the 23rd of November

Edit - Delivery Wednesday, 11.21.18

Edited again: back to Friday 11.23.18. The Mini has been sitting in Hong Kong for 5 days.

Just ordered my MacMini from Apple mins ago, expected delivery is 1-3 Days here in Germany :)

The specs i choose
  • 3,2 GHz 6‑Core Intel Core i7 Prozessor der 8. Generation (Turbo Boost bis zu 4,6 GHz)
  • 8 GB 2666 MHz DDR4
  • Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • 2 TB SSD Speicher
  • 10 Gigabit Ethernet

i ordered the 5K Ultrafine Display too, a SG Keyboard & the Trackpad
I ordered 2x 32gb Ram Sticks from Samsung for 599€ on a local store too.

My next buy will be a EGPU. Cant wait to have my Setup ready. It will replace my 2013 Mac Pro :)
Very nice! That’s a really fast delivery. It takes over a week to get my custom Mini in Japan and it ships from just across the pond in China! Go figure.

Just ordered my custom mini yesterday. Ship date is set for Nov. 21-25th. They had the option to pick up at the closest Apple store, but the date was set at Nov. 25th, so I went for having it shipped instead.

I went with i7/8GB/512GB/10Gigabit Ethernet in my mini (and Applecare Plus). Was debating going with the 1TB option, but decided to stick with 512GB as that seemed best cost-wise (my MBP is also 512GB and I've been getting by okay with it with external storage.)
Also found a nice deal on a 32GB (2x16) Corsair Vengeance 2666 DDR4 So-dimm set that I ordered from a different store and will install myself.

Jokes on me.
I ordered a Mac mini on B&H and choosed one day shipping on 6th, but the website keeped showing that it was backordered. Two days ago, being impatient, i canceled my order on B&H and ordered on Apple.com, and the estimated delivery date is between 20 to 23th. Then today's afternoon B&H sent me a notification showing that Mac mini is in stock right now. My order on Apple.com is already being prepared for shipping, thus I cannot cancel it. Learn my lesson, guys, always be patient.

I went with the exact same specs on mine (including AC+). Haven't done anything toward RAM upgrade yet, but will do in the coming few months. It was delivered last week and I am extremely pleased with it so far. I placed the order on 5 November, with delivery estimated as 12-16 November. It actually was delivered on the 9th, so you may be similarly pleasantly surprised with an early dispatch and delivery.

Slowly I've been assembling the pieces I'll need - monitor, DVD-RW drive, 32GB RAM from Crucial, Torx security bits. Now I've finally been able to order the Mini itself. i7/8GB/1TB/1Gb model. Looking forward to receiving & setting it all up!

Which monitor did you go with?

Nice! I thought it was the best balance between performance (I wanted the i7) and cost for me. My RAM is already here (I missed the delivery, heh) and my mini has moved on to the "preparing to ship" phase. Would be nice if it beat out the "early" shipping estimate.

I already have the rest of my setup all ready as I'm using my MBP with it now.

Just ordered a minute ago using educational pricing for an i5/1tb/8gb with applecare+. Nerve wracking. Never bought an apple macos device and am worried how it will look on my Samsung 40” 4k monitor. Est. receive date is by Nov 30th.

Shall I predict what it might look like?

It might look like an elegant computer running macOS and you might soon be wondering why you didn't switch to a Mac earlier ;-).

Sadly, I am already there. I just borrowed a dongle for the 2013 iMac with broken lcd and am typing this on the 40" 4k samsung monitor. Holy cow. Oh my. Wow. Where has this been my whole life. I'm trying to upgrade to High Sierra or Mojave to learn MacOS and all the intricacies. If the 2k looks this amazing, what will the mac mini look like?

Just went to the Apple store and purchased a new Mini... i5/8GB/256GB. Got a little discount because my wife works for Bank of America. This is my first new Mac (I've always bought used ones in the past). Then went to Best Buy and bought a pair of 27" Dell monitors that were on sale to hook it up to. Lets just say Christmas came early for me this year!

After Christmas I will upgrade to 32GB of RAM, and purchase some external storage boxes for use with the HDDs and SSDs I already own.

I ordered the base model from B&H no tax so that was good. I’m going to se it on my 65” tv in my living room as a Plex server/player. I also ordered a 5 bay storage with usb c. Picked up 2 10 tb WD drives from Best Buy for $180 each gonna shuck them and raid0 them

Well my mini was released and finally shipped from abroad on the 20th. Scheduled to arrive on the 24th, which fits in with the originally estimated 21st-25th timeframe. Was hoping for earlier, but what can you do?

My 32GB RAM kit arrived the other day and is just sitting here for the moment.

I’d love to hear what external box you go with and how it works for you.

On another note my mini was originally slated to arrive Nov 28th-30th. Tracker indicates the 26th. Either they are getting faster at building and getting them out the door or demand is low enough to not get bogged down. Mine isn’t stock as it is i5/1tb ssd.

TerraMaster D5-300C USB3.0(5Gbps)... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZY6DK8N?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

The first two can be raid the other 3 individual haven’t quite decided how I’m going to set it up yet. I’ve been compressing my tv dvds but I might re rip straight to mkv which is pretty quick to rip so I don’t know if I want to spend all that money on redundancy. I’m disabled, retired so reripping wouldn’t be terrible if I had a drive failure
[doublepost=1542742014][/doublepost]Of course Fedex needed a signature I hate fedex, so while I was out bringing mom to the doctor they attempted delivery, I’m having the package held at a pickup center half the time when I’m home they knock once and leave I hate fedex

How did you get 10 tb drives for $180? The cheapest I see on bestbuy.com is $430 each for WD gold.

Dang, those things are still on sale. I’m toying with getting 2. Do they ever go on sale like that? Might even leave it as externals except mac mini only has 2 usb 3 ports. Need one for keyboard/mouse switcher.
