I had my 2010 MBP stolen on Sunday. It's not the way I had planned on upgrading, but I promptly purchased a new MBP the same day. It shipped Tuesday morning but I received the "Package received after FedEx cutoff" message on my tracking information. I guess I have a one day delay on my hands. Good luck to all you waiting out there, I can't wait to take mine for a teat drive.

I had the same 15" MBP but I went for the 17" this time. Just stick in an SSD and the laptop will fly!

I just came from the exact same mbp.. Its amazing how much faster it is.. now if osx lion would just arrive so it would feel completely new that would be great.

I just upgraded today to the 15" 2.2 8g. I haven't run anything heavy yet except Logic. It's certainly faster than my 2.53 4g that got replaced.

2 issues on day 1:

Yahoo eMail texts are coming in as machine code. Go figure. I had to boot up my old eMac just to read them

And it won't recognize VM Fusion. Sez it only operates on "intel" processors. Gimme a break. I can't run a whole bunch of programs until I get this sorted out.

UPDATE: The emails read fine in Firefox on my new MBP. Safari is having the issues.

I bought a refurb mbp on monday of last week. I then brought it to the apple store cause i wanted them to do something with my phone and mentioned my laptop in passing. Simply put, they bought my refurb like it was new, and gave my my student discount on the new one, so i got the brand new one for free !!!! yay!!!

So it got to Louisville Monday, bf shipped it to me yesterday morning, and I should have it in my greasy little hands tomorrow! FedEx seriously kicks everyone's ass. I've never had anything take more than 2 days to get from Kentucky to Bristol, UK. UPS hovers around a week and USPS + Royal Mail (dear god what an awful combination)? Typically 2 1/2 weeks!!

Waiting for my first MBP to arrive!

I ordered the 15" 2.2GHz, 8GB RAM, 500GB 7200rpm drive + high res anti glare screen.

I'm really upset :( my macbook pro is comeing on the 8th 4:30 PM.
and the women that supposed to bring me it to Israel is flying to Israel on the evening of the 8th !
i realy hope that i will successfully convince FedEx to hurry up with the package as soon as it get in to USA...

:(
