You're the first one here who has received the 2011 Macbook Pro
with the 512GB SSD. Is there any chance that you could check what kind
of SSD Apple put into the Macbook Pro?
I would also like to hear about your first impressions regarding the SSD.

I've just received the message that my MBP is travelling to my hometown and will be delivered tomorrow. Unfourtunately (or not) I'm at the CeBIT tomorrow, but in the afternoon I will unwrap my first Mac Pretty excited right now

My Macbook Pro 13" showed up yesterday, my second Apple computer and possibly close to my 40th over the years. I've built many PCs and including a few Hackintoshes.

MBP 15" xbench results
The SSD is reported as Apple SSD TS512C. A google search suggests this might be a Toshiba drive, the same one used on prior generation MBPs. Xbench results below. My previous Mac was a Mac SE circa 1987 so I don't have a good frame of reference. From boot-up "gong" to desktop is ~15 seconds.

I'm going to say that laptops on this flight will be out for delivery tomorrow
I have the same times but UPS says Scheduled Delivery Friday, 04/03/2011, would be great if it came earlier.
I got my 13" MBP yesterday and I think I only left it alone to sleep. haha I am loving it. Hold in there guys, it is worth the wait!
I have the same message, cant complain however as the original date was 7th to 10th so if i get it on Friday i will be happy.

Just ordered my 17" an hour ago and it went to "prepared for shipment" in about 15-20 minutes! Supposed to deliver between the 2nd and 7th......really hoping its here by Friday!! Think it will be with the 2-3 day shipping?? This will put my 2009 13" to shame
