Just ordered mine. It's the baseline model but bumped the HDD to 500GB.

My MBP finally arrived 9am today. It's one sexy beast, even with stock ram/hdd it gets 10k+ on that geekbench benchmarking tool so I'd assume it'll go higher with ssd/8gb ram.

Getting used to the quirks of OSX at the moment. From a long time windows user it's frustratingly painful. I cloned my repo from bitbucket.org and couldn't find where it cloned to turns out I forgot to CD to the right dir from terminal, Argh I miss tortoise HG's gui.

I just got my 2011 15" base mbp with a WORKING moshi mini dp hdmi adaptor. The computer is great and does everything that I need. Stuff that apple employee who kept trying to up sell for an hour.

Overall, a great computer that will hopefully last me for many more years.

Upgrading my 2009 c2d 2.8 MBP to 2011, just placed BTO order after the iPad 2 announcement today, here's my config:

2.0GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200
8x Double-Layer SuperDrive
MBP 15"HR Antiglare WS Display

I don't game so figure I'd save the money on the better gfx card (I know it's crap, worse than the better card I have on mine right now, but this one doesn't have autoswitch and I rarely switch to it anyway).

Hopefully it ships soon.

I had ordered a BTO 15" 2.2ghz with HR Gloss as soon as the macstore reopened on 24th.
I live in Manchester CT but my little brother is in college over in Keene NH.... So I had the order sent to him with a student discount and lack of CT taxes (YAY!).
I figured that I could save a buck or two, visit my brother and grab some dinner then go home and enjoy my first new Mac.
I OBSESSED over the fedex shipping... watched it all the time... So when it said that my order was stopping at a distribution center in East Granby CT my heart stopped... THAT'S A HALF HOUR FROM MY HOME!
I decided to try and call this center, hold the package there, drive over and get my computer.

Can not be happier... I am now the proud owner of a sexy... sexy new MacBook Pro!
