Glad to know not everyone wants the latest and greatest :p

I am waiting for the news tomorrow. Usually with new laptops, Apple lower the price on existing models. I have been looking at the refurb store for a hi-res 15" but it is still close to $2000. A little more then I want to spend. I plan on selling my current MBA 13 because it just does not have enough juice for me to run windows in VM. It works nice but once I start running resource intensive apps in windows is when the fan kicks in. Will see what they offer but I' most likely going to pick up a good deal on their current models.

Bought the new 13" MBP supposed to arrive on Wednesday, if anyone could help me find 16gb of cheap ram for I would be eternally grateful

I have the longest wait ever! I have. 2.6 MPB with 768 GB SSD and 16 GB RAM. It's not shipping until July 10th! Why!

Same! It's KILLING me!

Could the 768GB 'drives actually be made-to-order? I don't imagine they'll sell an awful lot of those, the price is pretty steep and 512GB is plenty for most users.

It would be like trying to order a 1TB SSD (it's very rare even on a 2.5" size) from most online shops, with a waiting time and wallet-bursting price to match. $500 for 50% more storage over stock is a difficult pill to swallow.

Ontopic, just went ahead and put in an order for that new 15"+CPU and RAM.

Well, I have an aging Core2Duo 13" Macbook that's slowly dying, so I took the plunge and bought this from the Apple website:

MacBook Pro 13"
2.9GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400
8x Double-Layer SuperDrive

I gotta ask...is 8GB of RAM going to be the max on these refreshed 13" MacBook Pros? I checked the specs and it sure looks like it. Either that, or I am blind.

sunsluv! That is awesome.

I was going to buy a refurb-current model MBP 15" but I did the math and really it is like $400 more but a huge upgrade. If I went current model, I was planning on getting 8GB ram and SSD anyway. I plan on getting base 15" retina display with 8GB ram. I have read it is soldered so not upgradable but I am considering 16GB for future proofing. Hmm decisions.

Ordered 15" Retina 2.6/16GB/512SSD

Replacing my mid 07 White Macbook.

Absolutely cannot wait for this to get here...

Next Gen Pro

beside a new MBA, I ordered a next gen MBP 15-inch with 2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, 16GB SDRAM, 768GB Flash Storage

If I can buy any retina 15 inch in store, I will do it asap, then return the one I ordered online once I receive them on June 26. (It's extremely late.)

I bought one. 2.7Ghz model with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It's "In Processing" right now.

I'm excited as hell to get it!

I ordered it literally 1 minute after the Apple Store went online.
